Dropped 2 ponds since last Friday, now down to 16 stones 13lbs from 17 stones 1lb last Friday, (always weigh on Fridays). Originally 19 Stones 9lbs when diagnosed in July 2022. Well happy heading downloads albeit slowly 2lbs a week roughly.

Having read the effects of Metformin I automatically started taking B12 supplements daily. Seen three different doctors since diagnosis and once seen the DBN with one planned phone call and not one mentioned the risk of B12 deficiency. Will certainly mention testing next blood test.

My diabetes nurse told me it is not necessary to test daily or at all as I am on the maximum Metformin dose. I ignored her advice and continue to test, that way I know I am keeping on track and eating the right things.

I do but this was in a bar so difficult, I know now for next time, will just have to be Soda or a Whiskey lol!

I too have high blood pressure and on medication for this. The Dr said that one of the tablet's side effects could be swelling of the ankles. Hasn't happened yet but always a possibility. I'm on 10mg Amlodipine daily.

6.5 this morning, has been around 5.2 on average for the last few days, did go out to a club meeting last night and ate two sausages around 9pm and had three pints of lime and soda water. Guess this gave me the slight fasting rise!

I used to suffer from bad leg cramps occasionally at night, my daughter who is a qualified and long term working Pharmacist told me to try Magnesium tablets which I get from H & B. that's what I take daily in the evening and since then rarely have an attack.
