If my blood goes below 3 i get pulses of energy almost like little electric shocks in my arms and hands. i would imagine that if my blood was a lot lower the effect might be more pronounced and same ticking might happen as you described.

had to have 15g Carbs before breakfast to correct.

@helensaramay thanks for the tips i am quite excited actually. I don't like the idea of having something stuck in me permanently, but if the pay off is learning more about how my BG work then its all good.
They told me it would be shipped at the end of the month. so not too long to wait.

Impulsively i called up Dexcom just now and ordered a months Trail of the G6 for £150. thought that was an OK price.

Whenever i go on the freestyle libre site it says they are not taking on new customers.
Has anyone else had problems obtaining a Freestyle libre?
I have suffered from short periods of depression in my teenage / early 20's and i understand it is a very difficult thing to pull yourself out of when you're are down low in the trench. I also never wanted to use any medications to deal with these problems as i felt using insulin was putting...
BG 5.7 @ 8:00 (overslept eek.)
But i had to correct twice - 00:00 6 units NR & 04:00 5 units NR
Thats 1u NR for every 0.5mmol by my calculations - seems a lot?
BG down to 3.0 at 12:45 so had a 15g correction.
but @ 13:15 BG is 3.7 and now eating lunch (took 7 NR units at 12:15)
happy ish with that.
edited to add, Waitrose Greek Yoghurt (the 10% fat one) is proper lush
just had a look at the promotional video for that, it's amazing what they can do with technology now.
i'm thinking of doing a trial with Dexcom as i want lots of data without having to manually scan all the time.
Woke at 2:00am BG 12.6 took 6 units NR
Got up at 7:00am BG 8.6 took 5 units NR (a little too much i think)
BG 4.9 at 8.20 am > took 7 units NR & eating 50g carbs in 1 hour + having 20g carbs (OJ)

I would just like to say thank you to everyone who have offered their stories and insight. It is inspiring and also comforting. I'm halfway to being 40 years diabetic and the last 23 years have just flown by.
