    Please could somebody offer a clear / concise explanation on how protein affects bloods sugars and how i might take that into consideration when controlling my bloods, if i were to eat very low carb meals from time to time. (not all the time) Much thankings in advance

    For the last two days my blood test have been hovering between 7 and 12, wont go lower. I've ramped up the novo rapid this afternoon to see if can get them down lower. no doubt a prolonged period of hypoglycaemia coming my way this afternoon .:banghead:

    9.2 on waking corrected with 5 units Novorapid but still up at 6.8 just before lunch. Generally feeling stress and a little detached form reality currently, work and family life becoming very demanding this may be having some effect on the BG's

    @novorapidboi26 thanks for the reply I have to walk to work everyday so the first 1500m is consistent. I can't avoid this exercise Also i generally have the same amount of coffee (espressos at 0.5g carb) each, should i continue to drink those do you think? Will re-test again at the same time...
