Have you been able to address that with your team? Possibly therapy or someone to talk too.

Hello, welcome! What insulin are you on? Do you carb count? If you are on basal/bolus regimen, do you do a basal test? Is it stress?

Hello friends, Today’s job interview went well and diabetes is being good despite Dexcom giving funky readings. I got my big girl pants out for tomorrow and unfortunately I wasn’t able to get Fiasp vial as expected. I’ll roll with novorapid for now.

So have yall ever ate 150-200g carbs in one sitting? Well I just did, oops. But it was a delicious amount of carbs which contained italian almond cookies and crackers. I really fancied carbs tonight [emoji23]

Hello I think it would be a very difficult loop to jump through. As far as I’m aware NHS/NICE criteria/ guidelines have stated that they don’t see it as cost effective if pumps are prescribed to type 2 diabetics, despite absence of insulin production. So your team would really need to put...

When I went to my carb counting course, the hypo boxes doubled as a snack box as well. Biscuits to follow up after juice, so it is a good idea :)

I think Type 2s on pumps is more common in America and other countries. From American diabetes forums, some type 2s on pumps seem quite happy with it. It’s more difficult to get a pump in the UK.

Hello friends, My interview went well today, my interviewer was so sweet, bless her she was trying so hard with her English. I’ve been short listed for another job application and I’ve been offered another interview so I’ll call them tomorrow. My bf and I did a cheeky shop in sainsburys, I...

So sorry, Karen. Ive heard some have been able to argue for another pump. I asked my DSN about it, she said that I would need to put forward a very strong case to pick another pump choice. It’s a bit awkward because your omnipod can’t go to another person and you still have that funding. I’m...

Hello again, When I called my nurse today in regards to Tresiba, I also mentioned again that I was prescribed novorapid instead of Fiasp. She said she’ll write to the GP again which I think will take a few days before being updated. It is also that the pharmacies around me don’t have Fiasp and...

Hello, with our needle lengths, I’m assuming you’re using 4mm needles, you don’t need to pinch. I inject everywhere, I don’t save a special spot for my basal insulin. Love handles are very nice for both basal and bolus :)

Insulin pump preparation: what do I do?

So the nurse got back to me and she said to take Tresiba on Thursday morning and skip it on Friday but they will program the pump to deliver less basal and I should keep hypo treatments nearby.
