    Serum Ferritin High

    Type 1 and my ferritin levels are around 25 yep abnormal for anyone but GP and Diabetic clinic at hospital don't see an issue. Have huge insulin resistance and exhaustion. Given up with local health authority after checking NICE guidelines and have an appt with neighbouring health authority.

    Should all diabetics have a GADA test at first diagnosis

    Type 1 is autoimmune, same as coeliac disease. Body just attacks itself. I was 21 when diagnosed, bm in old values of 48. Sentbhome to await a diabetic nurse to visit and explain how to inject and test. 30mins that lasted, didn't see endocrinologist for 2yrs.

    Issues with Tresiba? It seems like its not working.

    Hi, T1 for 30yrs and was on Insulatard & Humilin S. Now apparently i was suffering from Insulin resistence, 29u Insulatard at 10pm every night and anywhere from 10-16u of Humilin s for meals. Swapped to Tresiba & Apidra a month ago, currently on 40u on Tresiba a night and increasing 2u every...
