To be honest the only time I did basal testing was when I first went onto the pump. Please can I have some directions as I can’t remember what to to do?

Today’s BBC news report re. Libre sensors availability on NHS

I agree, so unfair to penalise those of us that actually care about taking control of this condition and test constantly to remain within the set range. It is a continuous balancing act all day every day. Why penalise us. We are helping to save money by stopping complications. It makes me want...

Today’s BBC news report re. Libre sensors availability on NHS

I’ve just looked at my reader’s sensor usage which shows 21 scans per day. I’m always scanning because I feel it gives me more control ie tells me if I’m going up or down at a glance

Today’s BBC news report re. Libre sensors availability on NHS

Hi, I’m told there was an item on the BBC news today that the sensors will be available to all type 1 diabetics from April 2019. Is this correct?

Libre Sensors prices going up again?

Hi, I was originally buying my sensors from Abbott but having been told I could them cheaper at Superdrug I started getting them from Superdrug. However, the price was £35, then £40, then £42 and now £50!!! It’s probably cheaper to go back to Abbott [emoji35]

I'm back, from outa space, with an HbA1c result..

I’m a type 1 since 1972 and wish I could stick to a low carb diet. I’m a vegetarian which I think makes it more difficult and also have no willpower. I crave sweet things and end up bolusing with my pump to counteract the carbs I eat. Please HELP!!!!!!!!! I think I need a program which tells me...

You’re so lucky! I’ve just checked my PDM and the stats show that my average reads per day is 8. I doubt I’ll qualify for the Libre so will have to pay ☹️

Get him to a doctor ASAP! He’ll probs need some monitoring and put on a sensible regime to regulate his bgs but I suppose the biggest obstacle will be for him to agree to get help.

    Just Introducing Myself

Thank you Kitedoc, about 3 years ago I lost my hypo awareness and had my drivers license taken for 3 months. This is when I was given the omnipod. I think I was expecting the pump to miraculously lower my hba1c but in fact it made my life a lot easier and no more injections. I have less hypos...

    Just Introducing Myself

Thanks Urbanracer! Nice to get a reply. Sometimes it feels like I’m fighting a losing battle but then I think ‘ you’ve had this for 42 years!’ And still going so it can’t be so bad? The pump had made things better in that my hypos are no where as severe as they used to be ie I’d turn into this...
