    Over night highs

It does look odd. I also had problems with overnight hypos on Lantus. Not sure I have any real answers for you. Perhaps try another basal insulin or try for a pump?

    Over night highs

Hi Richard, That rise and fall really is enormous. Is it happening every night? Does this make any sense to you: To get so high it looks as though you've perhaps eaten something late evening with an insufficient bolus. Then to get blood sugars down again by morning your basal must be too high...

When titrating insulin up, I get palpitations, clammy after few hours

What you are describing is definitely a hypo. I think you need to have an urgent chat with your diabetes nurse. In the meantime as others have said, make sure you have some fast acting carbs available. My usual choice is jelly babies.

Anyone else self funding a Dexcom G6 in the UK?

I began self funding Dexcoms about 6 years ago after some very frightening overnight hypos. It was such an obvious game changer that I felt sure that it would soon be available on the NHS.. hmm. With the G4 it was easier to stretch out the life of a sensor & the transmitters would last a year or...

    Upgrading the 640g to 670g

@aphex2k I'm staying well, locked down here in the UK. I have about 3 weeks of medical stuff so OK for now. Glad to have my T:Slim & Dexcom. Trying to do one weekly shop, Luckily I have a nice walk around a nearby golf course once daily & it was pleasant sitting in my small garden when the...

    Dexcom G6 with t:slim X2 and xDrip+

I really do think that Dexcom & others should, by now, be offering a choice of 2 or more adhesives, so if you have problems with one you can try a different one. Surely it would be in their interests?

    Dexcom G6 with t:slim X2 and xDrip+

@annieMA There is a "modified" version of the Dexcom App which works on other phones: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScD76G0Y-BlL4tZljaFkjlwuqhT83QlFM5v6ZEfO7gCU98iJQ/viewform I haven't used it but as I understand it, it is the original Dexcom app with the phone checking removed.

Choosing pump (Medtronic 670g or Tandem tslim x3+ Dexcom G6)

@Talo To learn more about Control-IQ take a look here: https://www.tandemdiabetes.com/providers/products/control-iq Note: This is the American web site but it will be coming here later this year.

Choosing pump (Medtronic 670g or Tandem tslim x3+ Dexcom G6)

G6 sensors are very good. Usually no calibrations at all. From what I've read the Medtronic sensors are not as reliable. T:Slim is updateable - no waiting 4 years for new features. Already has Basal IQ to help prevent lows. Control IQ (Hybrid closed loop) has already been released in the USA...

    Update on TidePool Loop

But can the NHS make that argument when you are using something they didn't fund? When I came to make my case for a pump I was worried about this. I originally funded the pump because of some particularly unpleasant night time hypos which were the more frightening because I live alone. I...

@Badbloods Interesting. How is it going?

Dàna Diabecare RS anyone know anything about it?

I don't know much, but it can be used with DIY looping systems such as AndroidAPS which might be interesting for you at some stage.

    Update on TidePool Loop

The conversation about Dexcom funding was of a general nature rather than about me specifically. I've been self funding for over 5 years, but I don't see that as a reason for not getting NHS funding?

    Update on TidePool Loop

@Chas C Yes, and working towards a future when the various devices (pumps, CGMs, phone apps) will each work with any of the others. If only we can get the costs down so anyone can use them if they wish to. I had my annual Diabetes appointment today & there was significantly more optimism...

    Accuchek Solo Pump

I have the t:slim and self funded Dexcom G6. Basal IQ makes a significant difference. I've been reading about the Americans' experiences with the recently released Control IQ (hybrid closed loop). Mostly very positive - can't wait!

Dexcom G6 - failure you release

Yes, it has happened to me once in around 18 months of using G6 s. Quite painful! Dexcom replaced it.

    Dexcom G6 - Amazingly Accurate

After the first 12 to 24 hours I find the G6 is very good. I use it with Basal IQ on my Tandem pump which has been brilliant.
