    Theoretically, the Brecon Beacons SHOULD be one of the best places to see it, but unfortunately (or fortunately if you're a farmer) we've had a fair drop of the old wet throughout most of today and we still have 8/8 cloud cover with sporadic rain showers.

    Exactly the same as my observations whilst a Governor at a secondary school in South Wales: much the same as pupils who behave & work hard have parents who attend Parents' Evenings, whereas those that staff would dearly love to talk to about behaviour or performance never attend!

    Lived in Sutterton for 12 years to 2016, but now moved back to Wales. Always been interested in the history of the area in which I'm living. Wales is a place in point, as I was born in England, but have spent considerably more than 30 years here, on and off.

    The old Fen Boys used to also use the "milk" from a sliced poppy seed head to cure the Ague: it didn't but it helped them cope!!!!! Also great congratulations on the birth of granddaughter ;-)}

    Have you ever thought, like me, that one of the more unfair aspects of ageing is shrinking: the more you lose height, the more you need to lose weight to maintain the same BMI?

    Certainly applied to my Dad: longtime sufferer of duck's disease!

    That shouldn't be a problem; I remember my old Dad riding his BSA 650 Gold Flash he was 5'2", my late FiL had one and was 6'2". I never quite made the 6', stopped @ 5'11 3/4" but I've shrunk a bit now: must have washed too much!

    I forgot to mention 6.0 @ 7.44, so I went back to bed & @ 9.04 it was a much more acceptable 5.6. (You were quite correct @ianpspurs !)
