    Well... my Silly o'clock (05.30) reading was 7.0! (I don't understand as I didn't eat anything out of the ordinary yesterday). Then my 09.57 reading when I woke up properly was 5.5. Just a thought, but does anyone know if leaving a strip not quite in the SD Codefree, ready to be pushed in & the...

    What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

    Unfortunately I use it because I have an extreme intolerance to lactose (so much so that Peterborough City Hosp stopped the test after 3 readings as I was going off the chart! What I find a bit weird is that I can cope with some goats' or ewe's milk cheese, & (apparently because it's so hard)...

    How do you like the Arla Lactofree cream? I've taken to having that in my coffee too now: before I was only using their Lactofree milk, cheese & spreads (butter & soft cheese (like Philadelphia)). I think it's a winner!

    Evening all: BG 5.4 @ 5.00 this am. Perhaps I should wake up in the middle of the night more often! ;-)}

    Had to visit MiL & her brother Tue/Wed to take him for a bladder cancer check up (all ok on that score) but didn't take my meter :banghead: Reading Tue 6.0 and this am 6.1.:(

    6.0 this morning, & the PIP f2f is out of the way now, so hopefully stress levels will reduce, & with them will go the fbg readings!

    5.3 on Friday, 5.5 yesterday & 6.1 this morning @ 06.37. I think I'm starting to fret about a PIP f2f tommorrow, hence the rise in both fbg & BP. Anyway I'll retire in 43 weeks & 3 days (not that I'm counting!)

    That looks really lovely; I wonder if Mrs GOP will make me some. (I'm not trusted to not mess up the kitchen as I wobble a lot on my pins due to some of my other probs!) ;-)}

    Thanks for sharing the interesting article. Do you know if it works with lactose free milk? Just another one of my problems!

    What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

    Yes: I don't know what Tesco are up to at the moment; they've stopped selling KoKo yoghurt and a number of lactose-free cheeses, which makes my life somewhat awkward.

    Didn't take one yesterday morning, but it was 5.5 this am after a 4.9 last night. A lot of us seem to be getting higher readings in the morning to the previous night: any ideas why? Is it all down to the liver dump, & how significant is it, health-wise?

    @Rachox a veritable thorn in the side of the establishment: I applaud you. It reminds me of my session back in Lincolnshire just after I was diagnosed in 2015 & I was like you in that session. How long will it take for them to catch up?

    Thanks for that: I'm in very rural mid Wales, but unfortunately I can't cope with soya any more either: ( I did say I'm awkward!!!) ;-)}

    Definitely heading in the wrong direction this morning: 5.8 this am followed by a 65 mile trip down the mountain to visit elderly MiL & her even older brother in a home near the coast. The best bit was a mixed grill (only ate about 8 chips :angelic:) after we'd left for the 65 mile return back...
