    Burn Out

Yes, @Carpe Diem, I do use Levemir. I like it as it’s easier to adjust if needed. Athough I’ve not tried Tresiba, I did use Lantus some years ago and found its drops and rises in strength difficulty. I’ve heard that people find Lantus easier if they split the doses am and pm. But, the common...

    Burn Out

Have you thought about using Levemir instead of Lantus? It has a more even profile and since it’s injected twice a day you can vary the day and night time doses.

I took lantus insulin instead of nova rapid at morning instead of evening. What should I do?

Are you ok @action replay? Have you made it through without too many lows and highs?

I took lantus insulin instead of nova rapid at morning instead of evening. What should I do?

As @ElenaP said, keep an eye on blood sugars. Correct with nova and eat carb according to what your readings say. I gather Lantus has a two hour period before it’s working full strength. You might also want to consider changing the time you take Lantus to morning rather than evening and thus...

    Medtronic 780g with simplera sync

From one oldie to another, just keep on rocking. I did autocorrect, embarrassed that I’d thought you were in the States.

Yes, I only realised that when I looked back and saw the word Devon.

Simplera sync supply & pump choice

I’ll try to follow your example - there are pros and cons for both pumps.

Simplera sync supply & pump choice

How do you find the G[emoji640]s @Rokaab? I’ve seen very mixed views of them. One thing that attracts me to choosing the t-slim is dexcom sensors

    Medtronic 780g with simplera sync

Really interested @searley if you’re having trouble getting hold of simplera sync sensors.

Simplera sync supply & pump choice

I heard that they’ve limited supply to pedriatrics and new users (?)

Simplera sync supply & pump choice

I’m on the list for a Medtronic 780g with simplera sync, just waiting for the rep intro and training. I’m in the U.K. It’s not too late to change my mind, and seeing the number of posts here about the problems regarding supply of the simplera sync, plus getting a whiff of production problems...

Oh ******, that number thing’s hit again. Time to edit!

    TIR vs Hba1c

Like Tony, my ideal is to be in the fives, I feel so much better there, I’m happier and more energetic. I’ve set a personal range of four point six to eight point nine as I know from experience that’s not easy, plus the fifteen min CGM delay needs an early warning system. It’s the bigger drops...

Things I wish I'd known when I started

Numbers aren’t working. What I said was ‘I’m ahead of you there, I’m seventy-five.

Things I wish I'd known when I started

I wish I’d known how much the expected lifespan of a T1 would rise; when I was diagnosed I was led to believe I’d be lucky to make it to 50. The upside of that was thinking I should fit in as much as possible before it was too late, but the downside was gloomy. How much time is spent watching...

    The Look

I’m happy to inject myself wherever, whenever, though it can be a shivery experience on cold days. The only time I met with The Look was years ago in a train carriage: I took out one of the old syringes, those big glass and steel ones, injected myself, and looked up just in time to catch the...

    high bgs after op

Have you asked for alternative painkillers, ones without glucose? I’m surprised, though maybe I shouldn’t be, that you were given a painkiller with glucose in.
