Don't up the fats just balance it out If you up the fats you will just end up with a loads of other problems (from experience) try using an app called myfitnesspal this will help you balance the correct foods and lose weight (2 stone in 69 days myself)

Good stuff I was a pre diabetic for a good number of years then 10 years on metformin and finally insulin .....So let's hope your results are all good x

Don't feel shame diabetes can run in family's as it does in mine. We are all guilty of the it can't happen to me thoughts but this is the start of the rest of your life and after a few changes you will be just fine x

I love my jelly treat, my wife makes the sugar free one and it's only 16 calories or less for half a packet which makes a nice dessert bowl full The one I like the best is the lime one (no product plug but the maker has the same name as a hare on a tv show from the early 70s called Pipkins)

Another thing is and I hope it's ok to plug an app on here. I use myfitnesspal (all one word) app it helps me control my sugar because telling the app what you are eating helps it work out your carbs fat and protein for the day and since using it I have reduced my insulin by at least 8 to 10...

I get a warm feeling like a burning inside when high and like some other's I get real cranky. I guess it's different for each person but it's good to know the warning signs
