    Has anyone had this happen?

Sorry to hear this @Alex_B - as other posters have said the problem is with her, not you. Try not to let it get to you. Take care [emoji106]

    Issues with pump accuchek insight

Hope it's sorted @Tracyann35 - what a pain. I've had problems with the handset in the past & it was replaced in April. As @Snapsy said do give them a call (Roche) if in doubt. Hope it sorts itself out but keep us posted [emoji2]

Cannula irritation - prevention suggestions please.

Oh poor u @Snapsy / that looks sore [emoji51] Hope it's now feeling much better. My DSN also recommended Cavilon but I haven't needed it yet. The Libre makes my arm itch intensely after a few days! Hope you're sorted. Take care [emoji106]

    Mad sugar crazed lady!

Thanks @helensaramay - No definitely don't put me off as been doing these classes for a while & mostly okay. Yes me too - much better when exercising - just can't do as much while the kids are off! I usually take my lunch to eat in the car straight afterwards but I didn't this time...

    Mad sugar crazed lady!

Hi @Juicyj - thanks. No no IOB but think my ratios are a bit 'all over the place' due to me changing them last week for school hols! (Less exercise so more insulin). Yes defo prefer JBs as hypo treatment but the mini 15p bags of skittles were quite effective (16g carb) [emoji106] Good idea re...

    Mad sugar crazed lady!

Thanks @Snapsy - yes fine thanks although just woken up at 2.9! I generally have a different ratio in the summer hols as I do less exercise when the kids are off! Then this week I've done more but kept ratios the same [emoji51] Yes defo think you're right - I got fat too carried away correcting...

    Mad sugar crazed lady!

Has anyone had this before? I checked sugars prior to 45min high intensity aerobic session & read 14.4! Corrected, did the class & checked in car - 5.0. Just about okay to drive 5min journey home. Felt shaky - checked again & 2.9! Dropped so quickly so I had over-corrected! I even lowered my...

    accu chek insight

Hi @IceLover - I too have the Insight & am really pleased with it. It has been my 1st pump & I've had it for 15 months. I had the handset replaced in April due to it being faulty but again it was sent the next day. Roche were excellent! I agree with what previous posters have said. The handset...

Medtronic, Accu Check, Cellnovo, Vibe and Omnipod - info needed please

Hi @Lindy01 - I love my Insight. Had an electronic error back in Apr but it was replaced the very next day by Roche. They were excellent. Like @Snapsy said - my actual pump wasn't affected - just the handset. Let us know how you get on [emoji106]

Where do thin people put their canulas?

Hi @letitia7778 - I also use 6mm flex cannulas like @Snapsy. I have once popped the cannula on my bum cheek & it did sting [emoji15] but was fine after the initial shock! I generally use top of my thighs, hip area or stomach. Good luck! [emoji106]

    FreeStyle Libre - New user

Another pro is the great customer service care - my reader suddenly failed to turn on one day and they simply shipped a new one out to me. Yes I have to agree with this point @ScottyD - I've had 2 faulty sensors recently and having emailed them, they've replaced both for me. Really good...

    Insight insulin pump

Hi @Smammer - I too use the Insight and am very pleased with it. Yes it has the novo rapid pre-filled cartridges as @mariposa84 said. All the best.

    Unbelievable!

Hi @cath67plum - That's disgraceful. I hope the situation is soon rectified. @ce81ar - Hope yours is also rectified ASAP. Dreadful.

    Travelling to Greece with pump

Yes all of the above is great advice. When I flew in April I found the airport staff weren't interested in seeing the pump (as compared to last summer) & all was fine [emoji106] I sunbathed but used longer tubing so I could pop under sunbed in my Frio wallet. I frequently checked sugars as they...

    Travel

Hi - as @robert72 said the Frio bags are very good. I used them last summer in Menorca. You can re-use several times after activating them again. [emoji106]

    Stress & sugars

Thanks @GrantGam - yes I get what you mean. I think that could've made things worse today! T1D is definitely a challenge! Thanks for the reply [emoji2]
