    Type 2 Melon

I don't tolerate melon and have to keep berries very small portions, like one strawberry. We are all different. But that one strawberry is a nice treat.

    Food for thought

A lot of people on this forum advocate testing at 2 hours post meal and that is the information almost always given to new members. I have always tested at 1 hour so I can see the spike. I have seen my numbers go from 5 to 11 at 1 hour and then back to 5 at 2 hours. If I had only tested at the 2...

    Amazing

Unmedicated or metformin only hypos are rare in type 2's but anyone, diabetic or not, can go hypo if the conditions are right.

    does this sound right ?

Carbs are anything sweet or starchy. Potatoes of any kind are almost pure carb and seem to be keeping your numbers high. If your intent is to use a low carb diet to control your blood sugar, you need to cut out or seriously reduce pasta, rice, bread, potatoes, root veggies, fruit (except...

Canada, Australia, and most other developed countries use mmol/l just like the UK. There are a few holdouts just like there are a very few countries that have not adopted the metric system.

    Type 2 Erection problems

I cannot really answer the question as I am female but I can say that after a year of very low carb and getting my A1c down to 37 the neuropathy in my foot has mostly gone away. I have gone from being unable to feel my toes or the ball of my foot to full sensation. The only way to know is to...

Switched to vaping and have been tobacco free for 2 years. I am just doing the final transition to no nicotine right now. No problems, no moods, and no weight gain. It has no effect on my BG.

What is your favorite snack ?

Incentive to walk is a dog. If you don't have one then you can borrow one. Often seniors welcome someone walking their dog for them, especially in bad weather.

What is your favorite snack ?

Salted sunflower seeds in the shell. Having to open them slows you down and the saltiness hits any cravings. The salt will also shrivel your tongue if you eat too many :***:

    Substitute for bread

@Squeekyboy as far as I know you can't buy it. Just throw all the ingredients in a food processor, mix, flatten on parchment paper, bake, and eat. There are recipes all over the internet.

    Carrots

I love carrots and will sneak a small amount with no real spike. I do, however, make them steamed and smothered in butter and dill. The butter may help and it is yummy :D
