    6.3 before bed Jerk Chicken and coleslaw with a few oven chips for dinner and a kiwi fruit for afters....then a couple of hard boiled eggs (each down in one!!) For a snack at about 8pm tea and water after that.

    I probably eat tastier, so called naughtier food now than before diagnosis and have reduced my HbA1c from 69 to 52 to 37 in two three monthly steps. I certainly don't let T2 define me.......if I fancy a beer or a McFlurry or something I will probably quickly test and if below about 8.0 I go...

    6.8 pre-dinner I think the small portion of white rice with the Chicken Dhansak at lunch is the guilty party......or maybe the 2 shortbread biccies........enjoyed both so I'll wear 6.8

    5.0 pre-lunch Looks like the bran flakes/macro yoghurt/fruit breakfast along sides coffee and zero sugar diluted squash is working.....plus a good walk through the hospital handing out free Metro newspapers to other patients who can't get stuff for themselves.

    True talk I'm probably over thinking it or perhaps. Subconsciously putting a barrier in the way of committing to it. That's it....first thing to do when discharged from hospital is to sign up at the pool(it's next to my GP so I can hand in my discharge summary straight after)...time to dig out...

    It put up a great 3 month fight against staph aureus/osteomylitis infection especially when you consider I was only diagnosed T2 on the morning of the Op
