    I remember TAB & FRESCA I think they were the first couple of sugar free carbonated drinks when I got D in late 75 TAB you could taste the artificial sweetener in it and FRESCA was a fizzy grapefruit drink yuk. I don't think they were directly aimed at diabetics but I use to drink it anyway...

    I paid a pound each from what I can see 100gram pots then by chance I went into Lakeside retail park and a recently opened shop called Home Bargains they had various packets not as many as tesco's but their prices varied from 55p-79p for a bigger looking packet so I'll give them a try next week

    I know tesco have the health branded nuts all nicely bagged up near the fruit n veg (very pricey) and then there's normal nuts some by snacks etc and some in home cooking some of these are much cheaper tesco own brands (other supermarkets are available )

    Is it just a preference you roast them or does it change the carb/cal/fat values ?. I'm trying to stick to low carbs but finding it harder than I did earlier in the year.

    :-) Brill! me not thinking checked my Carbs and Cals book and just found a whole range of nuts and seeds, they seem to be low on carbs, but fairly high on calories which is a bit worrying as I'm looking for a change in snacks and don't really want to increase my waistline ;-)

    I had the same when I had my cataracts done all I done was phoned the diabetic clinic (separate from eye dept) told them and as if by magic was back on the screening program, you've got a case of two different hospitals (normally depts) not communicating.
