    Cholesterol Results

No, I'm not going to take them, I'm ok with those figures it's just finding the right words to explain why I don't want to take them without them thinking that I think I know better than they do (if you get what I mean) Thanks for your help.

    Cholesterol Results

Yes, I remember when TC should be under 6, now it's 5 and for diabetics 4. Don't think I can get them that low, I never have. On diagnosis my trigs were over 6 but since getting my blood sugar levels down my trigs are good and I don't want to do anything that will make them go high again. Thanks

    Cholesterol Results

Thanks for the link and your thoughts. I ran my results through the tools and they look quite good to me. I won't be taking statins, it's just I find it hard to converse with medical people because they always think they know best. I'll carry on with my low carb diet as it's working well for me...

    High level help

Hi cb3781, I'm not an expert by any means but those levels are very high. I would suggest if they don't come down you should phone 111 for advice. I know when you are unwell, blood sugars can rise but I think you need to get this checked out. I'm sure other members will be able to give you...

    Gutted

HI Woolygal, I know how frustrated you are as I think lots of us have at sometime felt like that. Just wanted to ask how long you have had diabetes and to say that I was diagnosed in January 2018 and went low carb immediately after finding this forum. It is only since January this year 2021...

    HELP PLEASE

Hi Greensquares, how about some raspberries with cream, coffee with cream. I get like that sometimes so I make some low carb biscuits or chocolate mug cake (receipt on diet doctor). It seems to help. I'm sure other members will have some better suggestions. Chin up, it will pass. Sleep well.

    How to lower cholesterol?

Hi Miss Piggywig, I think you need to let people know the breakdown of your cholesterol levels. What is your ldl, hdl and Trig levels. I have learnt from the members on here that the total level is meaningless without the breakdown. So, if you can share those levels I'm sure someone more...

Hi Maxjoe, welcome to the forum. Lots of good advice to be had here. I can recommend diet doctor website. They have some great ideas for low carb recipes. Hi Margorie I live in London but my son and daughter-in law live in Binstead. My husband and I are thinking about moving to the IOW some time this year, but not too sure about the ferry's as they are quite expensive. Is it a good place to live.

    Reversing diabetes

Hi Dudette1 I feel your frustration in what you are trying to say, I'm the same when trying to put things into words. Maybe the question you need to be answered is: Can you cure type 2 diabetes? I believe the answer to that is no, unfortunately; I wish that were not true. Basically, if you are...

Should I Stop Taking Metformin ?

Hi Del 80, can I ask in what way you have been feeling groggy? What sort of blood glucose levels are you getting with metformin and without? Personally, if you feel better without them, and you're keeping your levels within range, then I don't see it a problem if you decide to stop taking them...

Annual blood test and diabetes checks still happening?

My GP practice text me and asked me to take my blood pressure 3 times at 5 minute intervals and text them the results. Obviously they aren't too worried about my HbA1C or cholesterol or kidneys. Still, hopefully they will be fine.

    COVID 2019 Comorbidity with Diabetes

Obviously, this is worse than ordinary flu or I don't think that the government would be reacting in this manner. I understand it could affect people with underlying health problems worse, but at least I know that I am diabetic so could be more at risk. I feel for the many people who don't know...
