Stay home id say. I would if I didn't have to work and I'm only 35 Anyone over 70 is recommended to stay home but then with your conditions I'd just stay home. Have you got any friends or family available to drop deliveries off for you? Try and search the local hub for covid19 where you can...

    Help

No different by the looks of it. Just more susceptible to further complications but mainly if you don't have bloods under control I may be wrong but Iv been a little worried about it and that's what Iv found to be the most common thing said. There hasn't been too much data put out about...

It's not at all.. I was looking up on this today. No runny nose or diarrhea generally so it's pointless buying so much

    Self employed and Coronavirus

This has been my main worry. I am a self employed bathroom fitter. Iv seen reports of vulnerable like us hiding away for 12 weeks but that just isn't going to happen. Iv said if the government gave grants out of maybe £5k then I would be able to hide no problem at all for 12 weeks but less than...

Self isolation for 12 weeks ?????

Iv read up about it been 12 weeks recommended but Iv literally no chance of doing that. I just couldn't afford to. I'm type 1 and am a little worried at times but then not. I work for myself as a bathroom fitter. At the moment it's just about asking the customer if they are OK for me to work...

    Freestyle Libre

Iv just changed my first one today after starting 2 weeks ago on the libre. The nurse talked me through putting it on making sure I knew what to do. In 2 weeks I have really begun to learn what my bloods do and how things effect it like work, drinking, cycling, football and just chilling out...

    Managing Diabetes On The Bike

I tend to always eat something like toast or crumpets before going out on the bike. I don't have any insulin with this meal and I always take jelly babies, cereal bars and gels with me. Itchy skin

It could be this. I'm still on metformin but hadn't taken it for a while and have just recently got back to taking it as I should. Went through a patch where I just forgot about it and didn't order it Thanks for the other replies. I agree it can be easy to put everything down to diabetes...

    Itchy skin

Iv lately really started to get itchy skin all over. It sometimes feels worsw than other times but when its bad I just can't stop itching. I just wondered if anyone with type 1 had experienced anything like this and it was normal? I don't want to have to go to the docs when I don't have to. Iv...

    Metformin and Alcohol

Personally never had issues with taking metformin and drinking. I'm not a drinker who drinks all the time. It might be once a month or once a week. I drink at the footy, home games I usually have 2-4 drinks. Away games I can be out for 18 hours drinking constantly so about 15-20 drinks. Is...

Not eating breakfast keeps my sugars down all day

I'm similar. I don't eat breakfast when I'm working as I can't think of anything worse than eating when tired. When I'm off I wake up naturally and tend to have toast or cereal for breakfast I only started taking insulin last month but have found taking 7 units of basal on a night and then 6...
