Still fairly new.....and still trying to come to terms with this

Sorry to hear you are going through this as well. It’s so frustrating. Not sure why this is happening so quick, and happening after bringing BG numbers down. Maybe there are more here who have experienced this and recovered.

    Is it possible?

Mine was similar to yours it sounds like. I had trouble reading documents, text messages on phone, etc. My long distance sight seemed unchanged. After a few days, I started getting periods of time when it cleared up, and then it would come back. Each day the periods of time it was clear...

    Is it possible?

My eyes were blurry off and on for a week or two after dropping my levels quickly. They are back to normal now. Pretty common from what I have read here.

Still fairly new.....and still trying to come to terms with this

I'll gladly hop around the room like a lunatic if it will make things better! Thanks for the well wishes. My next concern is my eye test. That is coming up soon. I have had floaters as long as I can remember. I am noticing them more now.....or it could just be I am more aware of them...

Still fairly new.....and still trying to come to terms with this

I have been on the boards for a couple of months now. What a great group of people! Thanks for all of your help. I was diagnosed in April. I had been in the mid range of pre-diabetic for a few years right around 6.0% a1c. After a very stressful time period, I was diagnosed in April at 8.5%...

    Painful neuropathy & exercise.

I have had the burning foot pain as well. I was diagnosed in early April. Had no symptoms at the time. Went LCHF and dropped my levels quickly. My pain started AFTER normalizing levels.

    Insulin neuritis

Mine went from 8.5% to 6.5% in 6 weeks. Who knows. Just hope it goes away.

    Insulin neuritis

Lots of people have temporary issues with their eyes after dropping blood sugar levels. I wonder how many others had issues with peripheral neuritis?

How do you test blood sugars if you're needle phobic?

Beat me to it. You don't actually have to see the needle with most lancet devices.

    Insulin neuritis

I was diagnosed in early April with an a1c at 8.5%. Dropped it to 6.5% in 6 weeks. Pain in my feet and occasional tingling in hands started at that six week mark once my numbers were back down (didn't have this symptom before or at diagnosis). I'm hoping it goes away as body adjusts to normal...

    Reversing Type 2

Go LCHF diet right away. It can be done! As for reversed, remission, controlled.....call it whatever you like. Plenty of differing opinions. I don't know for sure if LCHF diet will keep you in good range long term, although it seems more and more people are proving that. I do know that you...

    Insulin Resistance and Insulin Production

In my case, my fatty liver completely resolved in a couple of weeks of changing my diet to LCHF. Hopefully, the pancreas is following as well.

Thank you. Best wishes to you as well.

    Type 2 TIND

About 6 weeks after being diagnosed, and after rapidly dropping my levels back in to a good, steady range, I developed pain in my feet. Like a burning type pain that varies in intensity. Some tingling in hands. I’m about 10 days in to this. This happened after changing my diet to low carb...

Neuropathy caused by lowering BS too fast?

I know this is an old post, but this is exactly what is happening to me. Did it resolve for you? Any others experience tingling/burning after quickly lowering BS levels?

Type 2 Concerned about instant tingling in body after eating

Still having trouble, but the intensity seems to back off a little more lately. I’m only about 10 days into this. Haven’t noticed anything diet wise that matters. My bg levels have been consistently good for a couple weeks now. Doing my best not to cause any spikes. I hope it is just my...

How many have achieved long term reversal with LCHF?

Great to read these responses. Encouraging!

    Neuropathy AFTER gaining control?

So I scraped the top of my foot last night. Kept waking up as the bed sheets rubbing across the scrape hurt more than normal. It's like my senses have increased since I got my blood sugar levels under control. I hope this is just nerves "waking up". It's not fun.

How many have achieved long term reversal with LCHF?

I've read a ton of success stories on here about reversing type2 with LCHF diet. It has allowed me to drop my levels quickly as well. I am hoping it is a long term solution. Is that likely? How many of you have had long term success with this and avoided meds? How many years?
