    Omnipod basal variations

I change my basal often. But usually by small amounts. I also change bolus/ratios . But this is not because it's omnipod issue. My body has always done this, even when I was on mdi. In fact it's much less on a pump. I have very good hba1c of 43 last time. Love my omnipod flash and excellent...

Type 1: What are your HbA1c test results?

My care team wants me to be higher to avoid hypos. But since having libre I get very few. Average about 1 or 2 a month, which are not very low. I like to be 45 to 47. To please everyone. It all depends how accurate the cgm is.

    Rising sugars on pump changeover

Hello Patparry I did have this problem for the first couple of months but I found the answer for me. I attach the pod, then pinch up the area and push down the cannula end into the skin. I also avoid bolusing for a couple os hours. I found my problem was leakage or bleeds around the cannula...

    Omnipod basal variations

I too have experienced this variation. But now I am just using my stomach for a while, this has helped a lot. The last 3 pods have been good control. Near to 100% in range using libre. But I have had quite an occurance of pod failures. 2 were bleeding, 1failed to stabilise and one today when...

    Libre Sensors

It does it for me occasionally. But I think it's because my levels are changing quickly. Readings go up, or down until that occurs. Then when it works again it decides the number were incorrect and gives a different reading to what was expected.

New pump: Medtronic 670g, 780g, omnipod Dash or Tandem-Slim

Hello Nicola I have to make a decision on a new pump. If you are using medtronic 780 to loop with a cgm it must be using there guardian sensor. But this is nit available on nhs. So are you self funding please

    Jelly Babies or Jelly Beans?

I use dextrosol now. Gluco tabs better for longevity in plastic tube. But tabs are sometimes hard. Not very consistent. Dext are now 3gr/tablet, used to be 4. I also carry a hard plastic sealed tub of jelly babies, but find they are slow. I also carry a carton of juice. All in a man bag

    Libre 2 support

I find it strange that they can produce accurate sensors, but most are not. My latest batch are not very good. Often the reading is 30% or 40% error. Even when I am not rising or falling. But the cost of them are significantly cheaper than the rest, as they last 14days. Strangely I have had an...

    Libre 2 support

I am pleased to say the last 3 sensors have been very good. So perhaps I had a lot of bad sensors. If that is true I suggest the problems occur in manufacture. Each sensor should be good. If not they should be thrown out by their quality control officers

Can you get a pump on the NHS??

Pumps are a machine, and machines are programmed/operated by humans. So it will depend how well you control it. I highly recomend type 1s to do DAFNE course. Very, very good.
