Pumping: Is it right that my diabetes is still not under control after nine years.

Have you done a DAFNE. course. This is brilliant and type 1 diabetics learn a lot. I have been typ1 for 50yrs and learnt a lot. It also can improve how you feel mentally once you get more in control. If you havent done it ask your DSN nurse to get .you on one

    Frustrated...

hi Maryam I agree with bolusing before a meal . I used to do this on MDI but find the insulin works faster on a pump so only do it about 8 or 10 mins before. obviously do it gradually and see what happens. I also have only been on a pump for a month. My basal ALSO changes from day to day I...

Costs of cgm 640g vs vibe vs libre

I now have an animas pump. but I am occasionally at the moment using a libre to help as my basal requirements seem to change. However the last couple of sensors have been inacurate on day 12 onwards even 3.5 and more on day 14. The last one I removed it on day 12. I did get one replaced once...

    Help please!

i have been on a vibe for a month now. I have not had bubble problems. However once when i removed an insulin cartridge it had a lot of tiny bubbles in. I had a thought on this, When I fill my cartridge with insulin, you have to first put air into the insulin bottle. If too much is put in maybe...

Insulin pumps, do they help ?

I have been on MDI for 50 years and so far like my pump. I find it is more adjustable as if it is altered, it is affected straight away not having to wait until the next injection. Still early day's with me though

    640g or Animas Vibe

i have had a vibe for one week now. It's easy to use. I had the same choice to make. I chose the vibe as recently there were peaple having a lot of occlusions with the medtronic. I know it depends on which canula is used but it is a pump and possibly canula is not the whole story to consider. I...
