Now I live in a flat no window cleaner ever turns up offering to clean the windows, but when I lived in houses, I remember the sound of the ladders being put against the window, and panicking.

In the porridge wars, I do like to take the side of porridge enthusiasts, as I like it myself, but I'm not absolutely sure that porridge and lasagne are very interchangeable, as meal choices. Ones a bit breakfasty, the other not so much. :)

Cake looks lovely. Despite a few hiccups seems like it all went beautifully, and to have been a fun, positive, and forward looking, event. Hope you have a long, and happy, marriage.

You're having a good run of morning blood sugars, I don't want to jinx it by saying something, but it's too good to not say anything.

I found the article interesting @kev-w . I think I'm a bit mesomorphy. I've cut carbs a bit to lose weight, but, addressing @bulkbiker here, I'm only 5 ft 4in, but if I got much below 10 and a half stone I always find people telling me I look too thin, so I suspect moderate carbs suit my body...

It's interesting. I'm only 5 foot 4 inches, so I have to be a bit careful about not putting on too much weight. At the moment I could do with losing about half a stone. So I'm keeping the carbs a bit low at the moment, but the real weight gainer for me is too many hypos, and not enough exercise...

Aaaaah, that's lovely. Mrs Knikki looks beautiful in her dress, and you look very good in your suit. The rain makes the paving stones shine, and looks rather lovely too, even if it might have been a little inconvenient at the time.

Good morning, I've had several days of doing nice long healthy walks, and my diabetes rewarded me last night, with a hypo that meant I didn't get to sleep until past midnight, and then woke to correct the post-hypo high, at 4 am, and didn't get back to sleep. So sleep deprivation enforced...

I had loads of veg, cooked with mackerel; and also a mango. It was probably only about 30g of carbs, as I don't like to eat a lot of carbs at night; though I tend to eat more for breakfast, and lunch.

This is lovely, but this is the real unreal you, what we want is a picture of unreal real you. The one pretending to be part of the offline world, not the one pretending that the offline world is real.

9.8 and going down slowly, is pretty good. You could land quite comfortably in range.

    Novorapid instead of Lantus

It's really frustrating when these things happen, but you have coped with it very well. So you know now you can do it. It's changed your weekend, but there are probably some useful things that can be learned, so don't see it as ruined, just changed. Working out how to avoid doing it again...

    Novorapid instead of Lantus

Hopefully you aren't going to get a drop then. There's always a risk it's going to go a bit high, but I think on balance too many carbs is better than not enough, in these circumstances. You can level things out a bit over the rest of the day, now.

Morning Japes, The brown mushrooms are part of my staple diet too. I managed to get some yesterday, though stocks were low, but the day before they didn't have any in my local Tesco's, which is unusual. Could be a hiccup in supply. the storm may also have slowed down deliveries.

    Novorapid instead of Lantus

I suppose it's like eating a giant meal. I usually have about 4 units of Novorapid for a meal, so the idea of 11 puts me in panic mode too. But you've probably eaten enough carbs for that giant meal, so a normal pattern would be for it to peak at two hours, and then fall after that. So if it's...
