    Nighttime highs after eating late

Hi all, I'm now 20 weeks and 3 days pregnant and on MDIs. In the last week I've had some high highs during the night (15.6 last night!!) I didn't eat dinner until 9pm but levels were 7.8 an hour after eating. Has anybody else had this? I'm not sure if it's due to eating so late or just...

DSN appointment keeps being pushed back

I was also put straight onto 75mg of aspirin at the consultant appointment and told off for not already being on it (this is my first pregnancy...) so it may be worth seeing if they can see you earlier. I think all type 1 diabetics should be taking it as it helps the placenta and reduces...

    Trying to conceive

@slayer - I asked my midwife about taking pregnacare and the 5mg of folic acid and she said it's absolutely fine. The pregnacare contains very little folic acid compared to the pill we need to take and there is no harm taking more :-) I probably end up taking 10mg of folic acid on some days...

    First hospital appointment

Thank you for your replies. I had my mum with me and she interjected eventually. I'm really struggling with my levels recently and don't feel like the dr was any help. In order to meet the 1 or 2 post hour targets, I then hypo. It just feels like I can't get it right. I'm so worried that it's...

    First hospital appointment

Sooo I had my first appointment at the hospital seeing all the different consultants.. I'm 8 weeks with my first pregnancy and type 1. It was a hideous experience to say the least! I was told off for not taking aspirin and not having been prescribed it.. That was the first time I'd even heard...

    Evening highs

I don't really take my insulin a specific time before food.. Sometimes it's literally before I take the first bite, other times it's a good ten mins before. I'll try and keep at a standard time to see what happens. Thank you :-) There doesn't seem to be a pattern with what food. I thought...

    Blood sugar levels during pregnancy

Thank you @azure :-) I'm probably overreacting but it's just such a difference to how my levels usually are that it made me wonder.. I think it's still too early for a test so I'll just see how it goes for the next couple of weeks. But good to know that, as with everything t1 related, it's...

    Blood sugar levels during pregnancy

Hi, I'm new to posting on the forum but have been reading for advice recently. I've been T1 for nearly 5 years now and my husband and I are now trying for a baby. We got the all clear in December with my hba1c and have now been trying a couple of weeks. What happens to blood glucose control in...
