This is true, but if you were shaving a little bit off the low points, while not increasing the high points, then that would be a win win. Though obviously reducing the low points, and increasing the hypers wouldn't. Though reducing the low points and reducing the higher points, would be a win...

If your higher HbA1c is a result of less dangerously low hypos, that's a win, not a lose. "This is the captain of your ship, your head speaking." I went a little bit Reparata and the Delrons, there.

The first day of Tresiba is bound to be the worst though, because it's so long acting, that only part of it is going to be working overnight. Tonight should be better, because then you'll have part of yesterday's, and part of tonight's working for you, and then on the third night, it should be...

My brother was/is called Bernard. He was named after his grandfather, who died at a far too young age of polio, so it was quite a burden. He always hated it, and insisted/insists on being called Stephen. Which is why I used a "was". I think it's a lovely name. It's a good grown up name, but at...

That's the first night, over then. Theoretically, tonight you should have more Tresiba working, and you shouldn't go as high. Hopefully this is going to work. A guinea pig emoji needs to be inserted here.

Good morning everyone, Nothing particularly interesting happening with blood sugar. Seem to have a dip around ten o'clock, which I'm trying to correctly gently, to avoid a high, seem to work ok last night, as far as I can tell, as I started a new sensor, which is, of course, not totally...

    Help My Dad

Is he having very low blood sugars? which are called hypos. Is he taking insulin, or something else, as as I understand it, there are some type 2 diabetes drugs that can cause hypos? It would be helpful to know more about what medication he is taking. Hypos can be dangerous, when blood sugar...

Good. How did your meeting go? It's cold here, because it's only the end of August I'm still trying to get some vitamin D, so I rolled up my sleeves, to get some sunlight on my forearms, and was thinking about putting a hat on, because it's cold enough for one.

Oh, I'm very good in art galleries, if they're free, have a roof, and cost less than the gym, I don't complain. I say all the right things.

Morning everyone, Yesterday I managed to forget to do my morning Levemir dose, which was a bit of a nuisance, but I survived. I was trying to do something different as part of my morning routine, and something was bound to go wrong, and it was that. This morning I actively remembered. Went a...

It's all good news, the reduction in the number with >75 hbA1c is extremely good, plus the increase in the >58 range. I was usually in the >58 range, and when I went to see them they'd tell me I was one of the good ones, and that would really scare me, because if I was one of the better ones...

Morning everyone, Went to sleep just after 10 pm, woke at about 12.30 with the libre reading 2.9. Blood test showed 3.2 so not so bad. Looking at the graph, I should probably have eaten something before I went to sleep. as it had dropped a little then. I'll try that tonight.

I do sympathise, enormously, with you getting bit by a rabbit. But there are some very fine guitarists, like Jerry Garcia, and Django Reinhardt, who had careers with missing, or damaged fingers. Hope it gets better soon.

Thanks Scott, pleased you enjoyed it. I can't really justify the expenditure, I'm afraid. Too many other financial commitments are calling me.

I had a 4 am hypo. I seem to be having a few of them. I decided to correct it by eating 28g of carbs as wine gums, and then when it went too high, 20 minutes later, taking 2 units of novorapid. I decided I'd get more sleep that way. Which I did, and woke up with an ok blood sugar, but that's not...

That's good. Goodnight, @smc4761 , and everyone. I have very little to report. I went for a nice long walk, which started with me burning off a small high, and then on the way back I decided just to get home without checking, as it was falling so slowly. When I got back it was 4.2, and I...
