Just been asked to arrange a visit to the works doctor.

Hi @Ultimaf if these are the first series of meetings requested by your employer since diagnosis I would tend to do more listening than talking. They are hopefully concerned for your well being and their responsibility which is why they have called the meetings.

T 2 What is the best evening snack to keep blood sugars even overnight? I'm wheat intolerant.

Hi @Littletenderness I too find snacks tricky and tend to default to unsalted nuts, greek yogurt, eggs, cheese or cooked meats - not very inspiring, not sweet but keeps me going without effect on BS. Hope you find a way, I'm sure others will come along with better suggestions - good luck.

Porridge - good or bad for breakfast

I keep porridge with water, small portion daily, as part of my low/moderate carb diet and have no problem with it. Agree with @azure, we are for sure all different - give it a try and measure.

    Type 2

Type 2 Coded or not Coded BG Meter

Hi @wiseowl_123 I had another BG meter but lancets and strips cost a fortune. Found the Forum and followed the advice on here, bought an SD and have not looked back - reliably accurate for me and low maintenance! Regards Rob

Does drinking black coffee affect your BG?

Agreed, for fasting BS test take absolutely nothing but water, however, within a normal daily routine any effect on my BS is not really noticeable - keep taking the medicine as they say! As @Tophat1900 states could be beneficial on sleep patterns to limit or avoid later in the day and may try...

Does drinking black coffee affect your BG?

Since T2 diagnosis coffee has become my substitute for various less healthy drinking and eating habits and has not caused a problem in relation to either weight or BS levels - however, we are, as they say, all different .... and thank God for that.
