Type 2's: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning?

That may well have played a part. However, I'd expect that reaction to have been during or shortly after my walk? Rather than the next morning? May be it was the outta wack macro combinations? 2% carbohydrate 9.7 g 12% protein 67.2 g 86% fat 217.7 g Who knows? I do heavily suspect it's more...

Type 2's: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning?

7.6 mmol / L this morning. 5.3 mmol / L at bed time. Disappointed with that as I had a very low carb (9.7g) day yesterday and walked the longest walk of the week yesterday - over 5 miles! Suspect that I tested after my dawn phenomenon that my Pancreases just can not adjust. Knew I should have...

5.3 mmol / L this morning. 4.3 mmol / L at bed time. Bed time was 20 minutes the good side of midnight and good quality sleep. Fasted (nothing but drinks of water) prior to bed time reading for over 26 hours - was surprisingly easy to do! :D Had bed time food (Protein and fat macro...

Type 2's: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning?

6.4 mmol / L this morning. 5.3 mmol / L at bed time. Good sleep from before midnight but, a bit heavy on the carbs yesterday - 91g. Extra carbs to hopefully increase leptin prior to today's fast.

Type 2's: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning?

5.9 mmol / L this morning. 5.8 mmol / L at bed time. That's more like it! :) Bed time was just before midnight. Sleep quality was lower than normal. Possibly awake prior to my Dawn Phenomenon?

Type 2's: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning?

6.9 mmol / L this morning. 9.9 mmol / L at bed time. I'm reasonably happy with that considering the high at bed time - which I didn't expect to be in the 9s!

Type 2's: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning?

@Robbity - Yes, totally off the medication now - was only ever on Metformin. I think it's a mixture of things. I had a lot of carbs between 6pm & 7:30pm and at 9:15pm I ate a vegetable stir fry with two large eggs kind of scrambled in to it - a bit like egg fried rice but, with stir fry rather...

Type 2's: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning?

7.0 mmol / L this morning. 4.6 mmol / L at bed time. What was different? Well bed time was bang on midnight - good but, could be better. Sleep was good - only woke once and got a good eight hours. Suspects: Didn't have usual bed time food. Too many carbs yesterday - well over the 35g limit at...

Type 2's: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning?

It's just that figures on their own seem meaningless. Well, it's not just that. I eat the same thing at bed time and have found sleep before midnight and of good quality affects my morning fasting blood glucose level so I include it as pertinent information for others to see. Plus, it will help...

Type 2's: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning?

6.3 mmol / L this morning. 5.8 mmol / L at bed time. Quite good considering bed time was past 1am & I had less than 5 hours sleep - where I woke up and had a weird panicky moment that took a while to pass before I could return to the land of nod!

Type 2's: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning?

6.5 mmol / L this morning. 5.2 mmol / L at bed time. Not bad considering bed time was past 1am! ;)

Type 2's: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning?

At diagnosis I was above the middle of the acceptable Body Mass Index but, that's not necessarily a reliable indicator of health. Severe prolonged stress messes with your hormones and eventually leads to adrenal fatigue. One of the hormones affected is insulin which stores excess blood glucose...

Type 2's: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning?

A prolonged period of severe stress is what brought on my Type 2 Diabetes - I vividly remember my Dr and Practice Nurse telling me I didn't fit the standard profile for someone to be diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes.

Type 2's: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning?

Probably - I know sleep quality or lack of sleep seems to affect my morning fasting levels.
