Type 2's: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning?

This morning was 6.4 mmol / L but, it was nearly elevenses time. Nice lay in - probably past my liver dump so I'm happy with that. Doubly happy when considering my pre bed was a whopping 11.6 mmol / L - I was a bad boy and had some chip shop chips! Probably would have been a flatter curve if I...

Type 2's: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning?

5.9 mmol / L this morning! :D 4.3 mmol / L going to bed. Great result for me and totally due to performing my second ever intermittent fast.

Type 2's: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning?

6.6 mmol / L this morning. Lowest score for some time! Went to bead with a 6.1 mmol / L reading. Happy with that! :) Think this morning's test was before my liver dump. Also, helped by being in bed before midnight for the first time in a long time - even though the sleep was short.

Type 2's: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning?

I would suggest taking it in stages. Get comfortable with the walking first then move up to the couch to 5K. Before you start the C25K - if that's what you choose to do - get a gait analysis performed at a specialist running shop - it should be free and inform your running shoe choice. Getting...

Type 2's: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning?

Yesterday's morning fasting 8.4 mmol / L from a pre bed of 8.9 mmol / L - not good! :( Today's morning fasting 7.9 mmol / L from pre bed of 6.7 mmol / L - better but, at least 1 mmol / L too high. Considering how to work on reducing these morning figures this week. **** my Tendonitis! :(

Type 2's: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning?

I started walking to lower blood glucose and get my body used to exercise as part of managing my diabetes after diagnosis. After my first follow up HbA1c I wanted to up the exercise and decided to move from brisk / very brisk walking to running. I did the NHS Choices couch to 5K (C25K) - it...

Even better is to exercise at 60% - 70% of Max heart rate for 1 min then up it to 80% - 90% of Max heart rate for 2 mins, then repeat to a total of 10 cycles but, add a minute at 60% - 70% of Max heart rate at the end plus a warm up and cool down. It's known as High Intensity Interval Training...

Type 2's: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning?

8.0 mmol / L this morning - well, nearly elevenses! Was 5.4 mmol / L at bedtime. Think I tested past liver dump time today. Also, I didn't ingest anything at bedtime so those two things may explain the disappointing reading this morning?

Oops not done mine for today. Fasting this morning 6.8 mmol / L from a pre bed of 6.2 mmol / L - better! :)

Failed my mission for yesterday - got caught out unexpectedly. Obviously didn't learn the Boy Scouts' motto! :( 7.7 mmol / L this morning after a false reading of 9.1 mmol / L and wash of hands and retest. 8.2 mmol / L at bed time. Let's see how I do today, eh?

@Sable_Jan Have you checked for the 'pizza effect' or just 2 hours post prandial? Forgive me if 'I'm trying to teach my granny to suck eggs' ... not saying you're old ... stop digging the hole now Simon. ;)

Type 2's: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning?

    29th 8.0 mmol / L - no pre bed test. 30th 8.3 mmol / L - 8.0 mmol / L at bed time. This morning 7.0 mmol / L - 4.6 mmol / L at bed time. Will try harder today to make tomorrow's fasting lower. Fingers and toes crossed.

Type 2's: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning?

7.5 mmol / L this morning! :( Went to bed late (early this morning) with a 7.2 mmol / L reading. Late get up too so that may explain it? May be it's my body repairing my inflamed tendon? Who knows? At least they're not desperately bad readings. Hope it settles down soon.
