Type 2's: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning?

That proposed policy is not a good idea as, I believe, what is really happening is your liver is so busy processing the alcahol that it delays responding to the carbs in the lager - you may find you're spiking ala "Pizza Effect?"

That's heading in the right direction @ally1 - single figures! :singing:

Type 2's: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning?

No, unfortunately, I didn't. I would have been asleep. The 1 hour post prandial was my bed time test. I figured the 2 hour reading would be just about in the acceptable range and as it was a one off test I was comfortable just sleeping it off.

Not drastically bad but, not your usual consistent readings @chancellors - any particular reason you know of and wish to share? I've no doubt tomorrow will be better. :)

Type 2's: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning?

6.4 mmol / L this morning. 8.0 mmol / L at bed time. Not bad at all. :) Especilly when considering I tested past the time of my dawn phenomenon. Also, I consumed 148g of carbs yesterday - albeit in a controlled manner. Bed time was just after 11pm but, it wasn't a great night's sleep. So, all...

LOL Nope - no shame - never had any! ;) In fairness I only ate it to prove my point / as an aid to education of an ignorant fool. Aim to work really hard at carbohydrate levels and ketosis this week. OMG - now I've gone and announced it! ;)

Type 2's: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning?

7.3 mmol / L this morning. 10.0 mmol / L at bed time. Shocking bed time reading was 1 hour post prandial a mini cornetto! [emoji54] I was told "Go on, one won't kill you - you've got to live." My reply was "It's precisely that kind of attitude that gets people into vulnerable positions with...

Did you have breakfast? If not then it counts as a morning fasting test. ;)

Type 2's: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning?

6.4 mmol / L this morning. 9.1 mmol / L at bed time! [emoji54] Pleased with the morning reading considering it's lie in day and was taken well past my dawn phenomenon. Bed time reading high as I had recently succumbed to a dark chocolate digestive - only one though! ;) "Step away from the...

Type 2's: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning?

7.1 mmol / L this morning. 7.8 mmol / L at bed time. Bed time was before 1am and morning test definitely past my dawn phenomenon time - lie in as day off work today! [emoji106] Not best pleased with those readings but, I know why they are so high - 102g of carbs yesterday! [emoji54]

You should pull your employer up on that under "discrimination" Diabetes is covered under the discrimination act - I do believe. Also a government organisation should know better - especially the NHS! That's what they told me on the DESMOND course I attended - "Monitoring is key"...

Type 2's: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning?

5.7 mmol / L this morning. 5.9 mmol / L at bed time. WOW - happy with that as morning test was past the time I normally see a rise due (I suspect) to my dawn phenomenon. [emoji2] Bed time just after 11pm and I had my staple bed time food - which has kept my levels stable again?! [emoji106]...

Type 2's: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning?

5.5 mmol / L this morning. 3.7 mmol / L at bed time. Bed time reading was before 11pm! :) First time in a long time I've had a reading under 4 mmol / L and the first time my Neo meter has warned me about one! Morning test likely before my dawn phenomenon. Will the timing of them adjust when...

You were just 0.1 mmol / L above me at both tests - were they around the same time too ? Spooky! *Hums X Files tune*

Type 2's: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning?

5.7 mmol / L this morning. 5.5 mmol / L at bed time. Early start (not as early as yesterday) so probably tested this morning before my dawn phenomenon. Bed time was nearly an hour before midnight. :) These two tests are more level than the previous readings. I had my usual bedtime food last...

Thanks @Pasha but, let's not be too hasty, eh? Like I highlighted - my fasting reading was highly likely taken before my dawn phenomenon. ;)
