    Old supplies

I’ve moved from Medtronic to the omnipod 5 and I’ve got a load of Medtronic supplies that haven’t even been opened. I rang Medtronic and asked if they wanted to collect them or something and they said it was up to my team, my team are pretty hard to get hold of - I’ve runs them a few times...

    Freestyle Libre Sensor Error

I've had that come up a few times back when I was on the libre, sometimes I could trace a reason; like I had just had a bath, and other times it would be totally random and feel like it lasted forever. It's annoying, but it often passes, worst case sinario when you next change your sensor.

Pump starts should come with CGM automatically

So after many years of resisting it I have finally gone onto the pump. They fitted me out last Monday with a saline run through so I could get used to pump care first and see if I was ok wearing it. The aim is to go live with insulin this Monday coming (so wish me luck! ), but there is one...

How to come off pump for holiday?

Sounds super lazy, but I think I'm just going to email my diabetes team any time I want to go abroad now I've got my pump because I'm AWFUL at maths anyway so I'd probably screw up the conversion back to pen and end up ruining my own holiday.

Do all diabetics have to have a licence renewal...??

As for other people; I totally agree - they need reviews of their license more regularly; not because of their health but just because there are some AWFUL drivers out there on the road. I think all cars should have those black boxes some insurers require and if you drive dangerously you get a...

Do all diabetics have to have a licence renewal...??

Your friend has most certainly has not told the DVLA they are diabetic at all for that to be the case. As most people have said it voids all insurance and is against the law, however no offence; but your friend seems quite stubborn so I don't know if pointing this out to them will make much...

High blood sugars on holiday in Spain

It's unusual to hear of someone who like me had the same issues with the heat and high blood sugars. I totally confused doctors with my mental highs in the summers for no reason; I was storing my insulin right, eating normally. I have to admit I used to dread hot weather because I knew I'd feel...

Why do American and English meters use different units?

I've always wondered - why DO Americans and English meters use different units of measurements? As someone who lives in the U.K. I find our system easier to understand; Americans are always dealing with such massive numbers. Maybe people are under the impression that us English need things...
