If it works it's the correct dose for you.

    Newbie here

Hi @ali705 , welcome to the forum. Are you logging your meals and your insulin doses to see if you can find patterns between the two? Humalog is a fast acting insulin, are you on a long insulin as well? How are you dosing your Humalog? Do you take it before every meal? Are you on fixed doses...

    Did you miss me?

Glad to hear you're home, and to see you back on the forum! Wishing you all the strength, hope, and optimism to keep working on your recovery, and to get better at working with a body that doesn't do the job as it should.

G4 sensor and the really simply reason why it bleeds more often and why it is normal occurence

It's often not necessary to replace it, bleeders will usually work as normal.

    Dapagliflozin

Hi @PJs Mum , I'm sorry to hear that your blood glucose has been very high lately. I don't have experience with dapagliflozin or any other flozins, but they tend to be very effective for lowering blood glucose. It makes you pee out excess glucose, so you might want to watch out for yeast...

    Low falling sugar

Your long acting should work for 24 hours to keep you level. If you see a pattern of dropping without eating, your dose may need a slight adjustment.

I mistakenly injected the wrong insulin

What basal do you use? Tresiba and Levemir can be used with Novopens with a memory for last dose. Another pretty much foolproof trick is to use a 7 day pill organiser and put a pen needle in for every day of the week (or two if you split your basal). It's easy to dose and forget to log, equally...

Type 1 Not sure what is going on with me worried about nerve damage from Dawn Phenomenon

Do those highs happen while you're still asleep or right after getting out of bed? Have you tried injecting fast acting insulin to correct, or even prevent the high if you know it consistently happens every morning?

    Ascend plus trial

Hi @RAD123 , welcome to the forum. I don't have any experience with the trial or the medication, but there is a long and lively thread on the subject if you'd like to see how others on the trial fare. :) https://www.diabetes.co.uk/forum/threads/anyone-on-the-ascend-plus-trial.199683/page-19

    Any advice about stomach ulcer?

If it is indeed a stomach ulcer, and if the cause is indeed h. pylori, treatment should be as simple as a course of antibiotics. You say that your diabetes hasn't been doing well lately. Have they looked into lactic acidosis?

This would make sense if I had been using more insulin or having higher BG for the week of being ill before starting the antibiotics, but I haven't. I just have been having unexplainable dropping BG's and lows despite using less insulin for the same stuff as usual. Must be one of those odd...

Very Low Blood Sugars, Not Increasing With Carbs

I only saw your post now. Have you seen a doctor with your leg? Such a sudden onset of symptoms should be taken seriously, and this is not how peripheral neuropathy usually presents. If you haven't seen a doctor yet and the symptoms persist, I'd urge you to at least call 111 for advice...

What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

Looks very good, I wish they sold it around here! I had a cob of corn with butter and salt, and 2.5 chipolata sausages.

Random question: Does anyone drop from antibiotics? I'm currently having a lung infection and started antibiotics yesterday. Where do those lows suddenly come from?

What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

If it comes unbottled, you can use your meter to test the coke before you drink it instead of your blood afterwards. A small drop of coke, tested like it was blood will show you if it's the full fat one with most meters. First 'proper' meal in a week, first time being properly hungry too with...

What's your tiniest Libre 2 reader?

It's either phone or official reader. The reader is pretty small compared to a phone.

Refused Podiatry By Local NHS Clinic

Hi @Sandra Chant-Murphy , welcome to the forum. If you are unable to clip your toenails yourself because of your MS, you may need to have a talk about the help you need with your disability. Diabetes without serious complications is not a reason to need a podiatrist to cut your toenails, but...

Would having a packet of pork scratchings instead of the Kettle crisps in your cupboard help?

    Type 2 Newly Diagnosed

I keep it very simple. The only nutrient I keep an eye on are the carbs, this is the only one relevant to my diabetes. I tend to simply avoid the high carb components of meals like (regular, non low carb) bread, potatoes, pasta, rice and fruits, and eat more of the low carb components like...
