Type 2 why not self isolate??

China did not publish this information for their deaths, so until there have been many more people dying in the west we will not know. Age is clearly a large factor, and any other risk factors added to, old age increases the risk.

Since We’re In An At Risk Group Are We Entitled To Use The Segregated Shopping Hours?

So far the "The Segregated Shopping Hours" have resulted in more people in the supermarkets at these times and hence more risk. Within a few days it is likely stock levels will be back to normal but with a reduced selection.

    Concerns about my job

A 2m distance from other people greatly help, hence can you require rooms to be empty before you enter them, along with finding a way to clean your hands before getting back into the car.

    Coronavirus work advice

Could the plumber merchants put in a system so customers orders on the internet/phone then collect from a counter outside the building? It would increase the likely of me using a merchant at present if they did so.

    Self Isolating or Social Distancing?

I would say no, unless your 3 year old grandson was comming to live with you and not having contact with anyone else.

    Coronavirus work advice

Are there useful jobs you could do for them unloading HGV etc, or stacking shelfs while closed or outside or even as a delivery driver? (However remember the other staff are as much a risk to you then the public as they are exposed to the public.)

    Husband is type1 diabetic, I’m a teacher

A rota with different teacher each day seems like a unnecessary risk, as a single child could infect many teachers. Can you get it change so each teacher goes in for a week?

In praise of all the delivery drivers, pickers, truck drivers, and anyone working to supply us

I was thinking getting work as a delivery driver, provided there was no need to get people to sign for the delivery or take cash may be lower risk then many jobs.

    Self employed and Coronavirus

Working in people's home can clearly be high risk, is there anyway to find work in empty buildings or outside? In our home as my wife is in a high risk groups and we only have one bathroom, I would have to cancel. But I am about to phone some plasters as I got an empty rental property that I...

    Self employed and Coronavirus

Can you take on outdoor jobs for the next 3 months, as the risk is minimal outside unless a person is close to you, and facing you, for more then a few minutes.

DVLA’s ‘Assessing fitness to drive: a guide for medical professionals’ UPDATE

What about moterways without hard shoulders and the danger that stopping then creates for other road users? Eg is just being able to detect a hypo in time to break good enough for someone to be safe to drive?

DVLA’s ‘Assessing fitness to drive: a guide for medical professionals’ UPDATE

I assume this is getting to the next moterways services as it is not safe to otherwise stop on a moterway.

    COVID 2019 Comorbidity with Diabetes

They did not seperate staff who were clearly ill from the staff who were vistings all the "locked down" passengers. All the staff were still living and eaten in the same rooms, hence making seperating passengers pointless.

    COVID 2019 Comorbidity with Diabetes

It is just as likely to be a difference in how many mild cases are recorded. Iran must have a lot more cases then they have admitted to knowing about. Italy seems to have no ideal what is going on yet, but have acted to slow it down while they investigate.

    COVID 2019 Comorbidity with Diabetes

Think of 50% of people having flu at the same time, maybe 5% of the population needing medical care while 40% of the NHS staff are off sick. If that happens then the next year it will be no different to normal flu as enough people will already have had it to prevent it spreading fast. So...

    HIIT and low blood sugar

Unless you are on drugs that stop your body responding naturally to low BG (you say you are not) then there is no harm in BG going low after exercise. 4.0 mmol/l Is in the normal range for many people, but I expect your body has not experienced BG being normal for many years. You may find...
