Last seen movie and your rating!

All time favourite......"Pulp Fiction"! Must have watched it over 100 times and I still enjoy it! Just for laffs, John Carpenter's "Dark Star" and "They Live". Oh, and #1 underrated classic is David Cronenberg's "Scanners"......:cyclops:

    Bad day

OK Rucky - first of all, you're borderline - not good but not the worst place to be in! We all know what a shock it is to be told that diabetes is on the scene, but once it has sunk in a bit, you can do something about it. You are not helpless - or on your own - there is always someone to talk...

    Giving Up

Hi Ellagy - thanks - Lily's (the clue's in the name!!) eyes were supposed to go green by the time she was 2 - we're still waiting! Luv her to bits though - she's the youngest of 3 and a real ☆☆☆ - and the most naughty! If you ignore her, she brings her "pet" toy mouse and drops it in your drink...

    What is he eating?

Recently diagnosed. Eye test next week.

Yes, you won't be able to drive afterwards so take your hubby with you (and make him stop at the pub for a well earned glass of wine on the way home!!!!!)

Recently diagnosed. Eye test next week.

Don't worry, it's nothing....When I had mine, I had eye drops to dilate the pupils - it stings a little bit but not a lot - then you wait about 30 minutes for the drops to take effect, then you go in, sit in front of a retinal camera - look up - snap - look down - snap - look left - snap - look...

    Meet up?

The £10 (or whatever) would be to cover the cost of the LCHF buffet as described above.....not many pubs could (or indeed do) provide a spread of T2 suitable food without prior arrangement. But as I said, it's only an idea at the moment.

    Meet up?

Don't know what people think, but I'm a member of another online local history group and we have about 3 or 4 meet-ups every year in a pub in the historic part of Birmingham. Good old chin-wag, raffle for the site and getting to know people etc., etc. So I was thinking, if there are enough...

Upgraded to windows 8.1... Now locked out of PC.

So you thought that was bad.....I bought my computer about a year ago and it came with W8 - it then kept nagging me to install the free "upgrade" to W10 - I wish I'd never bothered! Microsoft must have a bloody strange understanding of the meaning of the word "upgrade". W10 was so unstable and...

    Giving Up

Hi Mist - sorry to hear you're feeling down..... Don't give up....we all have down days but things will change...you ain't alone - especially on here! Now if you played the guitar as badly as I do, I could understand! (Joke, BTW :)) Seriously mate, just hang on in there. Keep on keepin' on...

    Do you ride a motorbike?

BMW R1200RT - been off the road for a couple of years now in process of recomissioning (so I can sell it and get another Tonti Guzzi Le Mans - probably mk.2 'cos the mk.1s are silly money these days...). Been riding since 1973 and ain't gonna stop just yet, thank you!!!

Eating Out (it can be done!)

Hi Contralto, before I started taking my own protein rolls along I also used to do what you do - but the protein roll allows me to have a few more choices that I didn't feel able to have before. But we all find ways of coping so good luck and I'm pleased that you have evolved a strategy that...

    Depression

Hi Mikey - what Nosher said X 100! Unlike you, I have the body of a sixty year old but the brain of an octugenarian (or a three year old according to your point of view!!) But seriously, I suffered from work-related depression for 10 years and was on a variety of medication - citalopram...
