Don't involve yourself in the blame game.

Hmmm. It was the same for the thread about the lecture "sugar, the bitter truth". Yes, ok, it was a really long video. About an hour, but it was fascinating. ( ok, so I did nod off a bit in the bio chemistry bit in the middle, but it had been a really long week! ) I was very surprised that...

Don't involve yourself in the blame game.

That lecture gas been high lighted on the forum before. At least twice that I've noticed. I think it's really interesting and really does explain a lot as well as posing some interesting questions. I'm amazed by how little attention it appears to be receiving on the forum. I know that not...

Atkins bars - something to consider

I do eat a bar occasionally but I drink a shake, usually the coffee one, at least once a day. I find they really help me get through the day. I'm very tired a lot of the time and I seem to be having trouble eating enough, protein, especially, during the day when I'm haring around the country...

New & inspired by the advice and kindness here

I haven't told my Dad. He'd get himself all screwed up. He throws himself at problems, body and soul. If he can't fix it, he gets more and more wound up, trying to make it go away. Well, he can't fix this. I don't want him to worry about it for even a moment so I'm not planning on telling him...

    Yeay!! :)

Little pupil came on his first junior brass day course yesterday. Severe behavioural problems. - Had the head teacher of his school on speed dial - when she wasn't phoning to check on him! He behaved like an angel and had the biggest grin on his face all day! :) Sent from the Diabetes Forum App

    Lesson's learned from the weekend?

-remember to eat! Missed lunch, - too busy buying things I'll probably never wear! Must have dropped too low and had a liver dump coz I suddenly started bouncing off the walls. Totally hyper. I was acting drunk, then after about 15/20 min, I got really tired and we had to go find me some food...

    License revoked

Hey, did you know that "license revoked" was the original name for the James Bond film "license to kill"? But apparently, 9/10 Americans questioned didn't know what revoked meant so they changed it . :) Sent from the Diabetes Forum App

    Lesson's learned from the weekend?

I learned not to take my friend Ellen shopping with me. I ended up with 2 tops, one which is definitely going back, not sure if I've got the guts to wear the other one. A pair of leggings, - it's been about twenty years since I last wore leggings! And a pair of knee high boots with high heels...

    Apples

I avoided apples to start with too Andy, especially as I have a really bad spike with strawberries. But apples not only seem to bring my BG down almost immediately, they have also stopped dead all Metformin related stomach issues. Apples, the new miracle food! :) - glad I'm not the only one...
