    Unhealthy Drs n nurses

My sympathies I guess I am lucky as mostly my docs and nurses are good, they even listen to me mostly although I have had my fair share of "duds". I think it's a lottery sometimes.

    Diabetes and thrush

I use a cream prescribed by my doc but some people use yogurt. I only get it though if my sugars are high. Do you test?

    All new to me

I was only 36 when diagnosed as well. I was fine in the June, my father had diabetes so we all tested(urine) regularly. By the middle of October I was showing symptoms. I am 63 now so there is light at the end of the tunnel and it's not a freight train coming your way!

How much Insulin you are taking? Just curious

Levemir 78 split into 2 doses 12 hours apart and humalog around 30 a day depending on the carbs I eat. The humalog is about one third of previous doses. Reduced due to low carb. Had to stop the metformin as I was so ill with it.

    24hr bp monitor

I had to use one a few years ago. I just found it a nuisance but it was worse for my husband. It wakened him up every time it took a measurement!

Have you thought about a pump? I personally don't know much about them being type 2 but many people here seem to love them. Have a look around and see.
