    Carbohydrate Advice

I find the book Carbs and Cals has turned into my "bible" 1mg of Apidra for 10grms of carbs. And 16mg of Lantus before bed. So far so good. The only time I go off track is at the week end when I am busy working in the garage, garden etc

How early before your meal do you inject?

I never seem to know what I am going to eat so carb counting and dosage can only be achieved once I have obtained my food. I have a very stressful job and making sure I have the correct carb intake cannot always be pre- planned I am on Apidra Solo Star and Lantus for my background.

I take Lantus before bed and find my morning reading to be between 5.5 and 6.2. I take Apidra solostar 3 times a day with food. had a few Hypos when I have not eaten enough carbs, usually in the afternoon when work gets very stressful. has anyone else noted the effect of stress related to Hypos?
