How do I know that I am no longer diabetic and should stop taking metformin?

I am doing really well sticking to a low carb high fat diet. I have type 2. I am concerned that my husband is inadvertently following the same diet. He is not diabetic or overweight or I'll in any way. Will this eating regime cause him problems?

Thanks for the reply. I am on holiday for a couple of months in Florida and hope to surprise my doctor on my return.think I will keep taking tablets till my return. Don't have a Meyer.

Does being in remission mean that you have stopped taking metformin? I am trying hard to cut sugar intake and going lowcarb. Should I be taking metformin?

Is anyone cutting down on sugar? I am trying to keep to under 6 spoonfuls a day. Any thoughts on this would be appreciated. Cutting out sugar does mean I am cutting carbs.

my mum is 91 and has pain round the area that she is injecting in her tummy. Is this normal? Would an insulin jet injector be suitable. She has cancer in her tummy that is growing could this be affected by injecting? If this is not the right place to ask I apologise I cannot figure out how to...
