    Tiredness

100 times this! If I wake up in the night and can't get back to sleep 99% of the time it will be because of what my levels are doing. Usually it's if they're dropping - even if I'm 5.x and slowly dropping this can keep me awake. It can be if they're above 10 as well though. Do your levels tend...

    Type 1: Erratic blood sugars?

No worries. You can't take a sensor off and re apply it, each sensor lasts for 2 weeks though and you can wait as long as you like between sensors. It is expensive to use it continuously, but like I said very addictive!

    Type 1: Erratic blood sugars?

The libre can give you graphs like this one (that's on a smart phone but the reader will give you something similar) it can shoe trends like the going high overnight before dropping back down in the morning that you wouldn't know about without it... Each scan also shows what your levels has...

    Type 1: Erratic blood sugars?

Basically just have the levimir with no food or nova rapid and see if levels stay ok. If you search the forum there are some good posts about it @noblehead has a good link..

    Type 1: Erratic blood sugars?

Is she pre injecting her pre meal.insulin? I used to be on nova rapid and would always shoot up high after meals, I find Apidra is better fir me and controls the spikes better, I still have to inject 10 minutes or so before eating though (even though they say you don't need to!) Some people on...

    2 hour dip?

I think this was a bit if a passing thing for me in the end, more due to quite a bit if activity straight after eating than anything else.. I did they novarapid but that went in far too slowly so went back to Apidra... Hope you manage to get it sorted!

Type 2 What Trend Is Normal?

5.1 before bed plus 1 glucose 8.4 about 3am then 6.4 at half 7. @winenemo if your basal is spot on you're not supposed to vary by more than 2 or 3 mmol with no carbs or insulin active. In practise it's very hard to get that if you're not on a pump especially if your basal rates fluctuate...

Type 1s: What Is/was Your Blood Sugar This Evening And This Morning ?

7.7 last night 8.5 this morning. Not too bad as I'm trying to introduce a couple of rounds of toast for supper so I'm not so flipping hungry in the evenings!

    Activity/sleep trackers and nocturnal hypos

Lucky so and so [emoji6] , if my levels love about more than a few mmol either way and that's it I'm awake! Sent from my GT-I9195 using Diabetes.co.uk Forum mobile app

    Activity/sleep trackers and nocturnal hypos

I don;t have one but I am looking at getting one. I'm fairly sure I "wake up" a few times in the night especially if I drop much below 5, would quite like to see if that is actually the case though..

People on CGMS/Libre: What is your target range and what % of the time do you spend there?

I've got my libre set to between 5 and 9.9 and tend to average about 61%. I do tend to find that blood checks are 2 to 3 mmol lower at the upper end though so hopefully it's a bit better than that in reality... I would like the range to be a bit lower but it's 5 for driving and if I correct...

    Lack of sleep

Are you sure your bloods are stable all through the night and not dipping and then coming back up? I can never sleep if my levels are going up or down. Having said that it could just be the weather, I think most people struggle to sleep when it's hot... Sent from my GT-I9195 using...

    Hot weather and BG

Yup I need less as well, unfortunately as I'm on Tresiba it takes a few days for the dose change to take effect (and with the British weather it's normally back to freezing cold again by the time it has!!)

Newbie parent of 2year old type 1

HI there, can;t give you any direct help but I was diagnosed at a similar age (16 months) and that was 33 years ago so it's not a complete disaster :)

    Type 1: Tiredness

In relation to the other posts about the libre you could just buy one sensor and download the libre link app from the play store. As long as your phone has NFC (I'm fairly sure the S7 does) you can use that to read the sensor data. It would be 50 quid for the 2 weeks but would give you a great...

    Hunch about Chinese...

I think, although I can't be sure, that it was something in the starter. Unfortunately their website is currently offline so I can't look up what I actually ate! Sent from my GT-I9195 using Diabetes.co.uk Forum mobile app

    Rice & pasta

The tricky thing I've always found about pasta is getting the right amount of uncooked pasta to make the correct cooked portion size. Some packets do give you an estimate but I've always found that to be way off, I don't have it often enough to do trial and error properly... Sent from my...

    Hunch about Chinese...

The main I had was chicken cashew nut with egg fried rice. I also had a starter though that was a vegetarian something platter, it had a spring roll which I ate, a sticky jelly covered thing I ate some of, some onion sliced in a dish that I had a little of and a small pastry thing that looked...
