Cheapest source of Freestyle Libre 2 sensors?

The company/pharmacy you get the sensors from should provide it. Abbott on line have the form online when you purchase directly from them.

    It's dropped off.

I would start the new one. I try and insert my new one 48 hours before the old one finishes but if the old one fails early I just insert a new one and activate it straight away. I don’t find the readings unstable, but of course you might be different.

    Triggers for Type 2 Diabetes

Yes, I am sure genetics plays a part in developing the condition, but the way it is managed makes it possible to control it. I spent nine years adjusting my diet to what various nurses told me to eat (even increasing carbs at one point following their adamant instruction), to the point where...

    Libre scans per day?

I’ve just realised I didn’t answer the original question. I still scan the libre into libre link about four times a day so that all the data is on libreview, but I use xdrip to display readings in real time on my watch and check it regularly……several times on hour especially if it’s changing fast.

    Libre scans per day?

ive just read on the diabox Facebook group that it it because diabox enables someone to restart a libre 1 at the end of 14 days and continue using the old sensor. I think they are going to remove that functionality and relaunch under a different name but it will take a couple of months.

    Libre scans per day?

Abbot and apple have just insisted that diabox is removed from TestFlight. You should be ok until the current one on your phone reaches 90 days according to the makers, but mine died recently after about 45 days. I have downloaded xdrip4ios which is working well and sends regular updates to my...

Type 2s What motivates you to control by diet?

My libre sensor and seeing the direct correlation between my food choices and my blood sugar motivates me to make the right choices…..most of the time. If my sugars slip I am ok as long as it was a conscious choice to eat something, what frustrates me,…,the days I make what I think are ok...

Get some lo dough pizza bases. 2.6g carbs each. You can use the same toppings as the family one, enjoy being sociable, and no need to...

    Libre 2 problems

I use a regaderm patch over mine, mostly because I swim for an hour at a time and it keeps it waterproof, but it has the added benefit of keeping the sensor firmly in place. I get my tegaderm on Amazon.

Help - Porridge and sugar levels

Porridge and oats are carbs, and as such generally not good for type 2 diabetics. Try bacon and eggs, or plain Greek yogurt with a few berries and see what that does.

    My libre 2 sugar graph

Without a blood glucose check you don’t know your actual level. It is quite possible that the “lows” showing on your graph are actually low normal. an OGTT will only be anywhere near accurate if you test your blood while doing it, not using the libre.

    Libre 2 alarms

Pleased you got it to work. Remember if the libre does alert you to a high or low to check with your meter, it is different for everyone but may not be totally accurate. Mine can be between one and two points out at high and how levels.

Yes, there should be a noise as well. If you tell us what type of phone you have someone might be able to help with the settings you need.

    Libre….strange situation

Diabox is another app which can read and present data from the libre 2. It provides a current and continuous readout via blootooth, but you still need to be able to scan the sensor using The usual method to initially connect it.

    Autumn Recipes

I’m going to get a swede and butternut squash this week and some cauliflower, cook it all up, mash, season and freeze in portions. That way it’s easy just to defrost and heat in the oven to go with winter meals or top any pie filling.

    Autumn Recipes

I tried a cottage pie with a mix of mashed swede and butternut squash (mashed with plenty of butter, and cheese on top) last week and it was very tasty. Lower carbs, but still carbs in it of course.
