    I really want a baby!

My last one at mid September was 7.8 @Amy.W I have since got a Libre sensor and it's helping me catch highs before they happen so I'm really hoping for 7.3/7.4 by mid November for the next one! My DSN said she would make a decision then on whether or not I could go ahead as this as been going on...

What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

I was late taking my levemir last night so it was my own fault . I took a tiny bit of fast Acting with it to bring it back to normal this morning.

POLL: Have you tried the Freestyle Libre yet?

I don't have a constant supply because Abbott don't supply Ireland with it yet so it's hard to get my hands on them but I did put the sensor on 24 hours before activating and still found the first day to be inaccurate!

POLL: Have you tried the Freestyle Libre yet?

Yes I'm on my 3rd sensor. It's an issue for me getting my hands on them being from Ireland but I do like having it. Find the first day to be inaccurate but not as bad as time goes on

Tips on making the Libre more accurate?

Hey guys! I have popped on a new Libre and waited 24 hours before I activated it. Today was the first full day of the sensor and it was full of inaccuracies. I can't really afford this as I've given myself 3 weeks to get my a1c down as tight as I can. I am still finger pricking but hoping I...

Can I drop my hba1c by 1% in a month?

Thanks azure! When you say bolus in advance, say my bs was 4.5 before a meal and the meal I'm having needs 4 units of novarapid, how far in advance would you bolus for it? I'm always afraid I'll hypo when it's that low and I bolus too far in advance!

Can I drop my hba1c by 1% in a month?

GrantGam1337, I have 2 libre sensors on the way to me to help me watch out for the lows, being from Ireland they are much harder to get hold of but I have a friend from Wales coming tomorrow and she got them for me! Don't know why I find it so hard to reduce it though, it's extremely...

Can I drop my hba1c by 1% in a month?

Is it possible? I have targeted myself to get it down from 7.9% to 7% by this time next month. Can it be done if I stay under 8.4 mmol generally in the month?

Type 1s - How do you get on with life?

Hey smoof! I'm similar! 32 years old, type 1 Zumba fanatic!! Zumba is a high intensity exercise as you know. I make sure I test right before I start class and if it below 7 mmol I will check it again during class. At first I didn't want people knowing because I didn't want a fuss made. Now I...
