    Ok I'm gonna hop on here if that's ok! Taking metformin 1000mg 3 times a day along with my insulin due to insulin resistance caused by my weight!I am 5"4 and weigh 12 stone 2.5 lbs I am going on holidays next week so will try use that as a short term goal!

    Maybe ask your dsn next time to be sure but I would definatly be eating something before bed because I know for myself that would be too long to go without carbs but I could be wrong!

    They advised me at clinic to not go to bed with a blood sugar under 6 so maybe eat something like a piece of toast before bed and do a 3am test? I know what you mean though I fear night time hypos too. Would a hypo wake you if you went to 3?
