Ah ok....I was always told to wait for 3 days to see any effects with my long lasting insulin. Mind you I was never on Levemir. I stand corrected :) Thank you both

BUT unless you have diabetes then there is no reason to learn about it....? So no one will have a clue on the differeing types of diabetes and the way we deal with them so very differently.

Your background insulin will take 2 or 3 days to work its way into your system and to see any noticeable differences? So changing it daily will not give you a clear sight into what effect those changes are having!??

@Jim Lahey I see you have reversed your diabetes, well done on that. Unfortunately I have zero chance of not being diabetic, I have it until I die.

Just the way we deal with it is VERY different!!! You can not deal with your type 1 with a LCHF diet only! You still have to take insulin to stay alive!

Still think that all types of diebetes should have a different name People have no idea on types of diabetes, I get told a lot that I dont look like a diabetic! And that is because the papers and social media portray diabetes as being overweight - please don't shoot me....I KNOW thats not correct!!

@JoKalsbeek when I was diagnosed (1971) it was just Diabetes Mellitus. There was no "types" at all then

Type 2s can sometimes be put on insulin as well I agree that the differing forms/types of diabetes should have different names and not just "type"

I take every one apart to put the needle in the sharps bin and put the plastics in re-cycling. Hence why I said "I can't see it being in your arm!" The needle that is!

Hi @Donna1 the inserter needle retracts back into the applicator, I really cant see it still being in your arm. As for the soreness, yeah they can be sore very now and again....keep an eye on it and if it still sore in a few days then take it off and phone Abbotts and let them know, they do...

Scary hypo dreams are not nice at all. I have had some horrendous ones. Even had some not nice awake ones!

Afternoon.... Breakfast, yep, you guessed it Crunchy Nut Cornflakes :) Dinner packed lunch, way too much to list BUT 'twas 165g carbs AND a nice straight Libre line to boot :)
