    Thanks for the tag @Jaylee I use a Ticwatch Pro alongside my MM and Xdrip+. It can be set up as a standalone BUT often looses connection with MM. For that reason I just keep my phone close at all times (don't we all??). The vibration and alarm is OK....It wakes my misses up if it goes off...

    I would say yes the odd treat is ok. As long as the odd treat isn't every hour :) BUT then I am type 1 and can cover treats with insulin :)

    If you are pumping insulin then there is no need for the slower release carbs just the fast acting does the job. I don't think that @localshop is a pump user BUT for others who happen to read this that are its a help

    I now use Jelly Babies.....3 JBs = 15g of carb, eat then test 15 mins later and repeat if necessary I used to eat the fridge many years ago in my twenties

    @Shannon27 small steps to start with.....you are now on the right track 49 year type 1 here. I did the DAFYDD (DAFNE) course over 15 years ago. I didn't think I would benefit from it as I knew it all anyway!! How wrong was I. If you get the chance to do the course I would jump in both...

    Make notes of the food you are cooking and the doses you are taking for the food then in the future you will be able to dose more accurately based on previous food intake of the same foods!

    @Mad76 the Libre and Glimp apps may not be correct. Definitely don't beat yourself up about the small jump, if it is correct! Wait until you get your next HBA1C done and see what it is.
