The result of a carb-heavy diet?

Wow, KevinPotts, did you really feel that much better after two weeks???

The result of a carb-heavy diet?

I'm sorry catherinecherub, but I really find positive affirmations don't work for me. I wish they did, but they just make me cringe. I guess it's horses for courses ... for me, just looking at that fat bird staring back at me from my desk should be enough for me to keep on track. And the...

The result of a carb-heavy diet?

I have my list of reasons for doing this to spur me on - better health, fitness, reduction in anxiety and low self esteem. It has been so long since I have been slim that I do not have any good images of myself to aspire to - the photos of myself as I no longer want to be are to spur me on.

The result of a carb-heavy diet?

I started the Blood Sugar Diet a couple of weeks ago and failed miserably after a discussion with my doctor, who told me what I was doing was dangerous. Yes, I am in the process of changing doctors. So, I start again tomorrow, this time armed with a lot more information (and after an...

Could I still be in remission?

So, I have been reading many posts in the forums, and discovered that the older you are and the longer you have had T2, the less chance there is - no matter what you do - or going into remission. I have had T2 for around 12 years and have been truly negligent. I am only now taking serious steps...

    Lixumia (lixisenatide)

Me again! I can't remember if I took my dose of Lyxumia this morning. Is there any problem in taking one now, even if I did take it this morning?

    Sugar patch

There must be a medical reason why this cannot be done, but anyone have any idea why no-one has invented a patch for sugar cravings, just as they have for nicotine?

    Fried breakfast

Scrambled eggs take no time, nor does an omelette with a little cheese or ham - just a couple of minutes. Similarly a grilled mushroom with a spoon of beans or with cream cheese and a sliced of smoked salmon. They really take little more time than to open a cereal packet!

Reversal or remission - your thoughts

I have been quite surprised to see many doctors, authors, journalists and others refer to those diabetics who have managed to control their BG levels as having REVERSED their diabetes. Now, I would love to hear from anyone with .more knowledge than me, but I understood that if you were diagnosed...

    Feeling confused - high readings

Did they tell you at the hospital why it is rising? What was your last reading?

Forgetfulness, or what did I do with the dog?

Ewilina, how do you get hold of NDT, how do you know you are getting safe NDT, and how do you know how to take it?

Forgetfulness, or what did I do with the dog?

Toto, I was diagnosed (when I lived abroad) with Hashimoto's, but since I have been back in the UK, no doctor I have seen is in the least interested in treating me. They all say they will deal with it once my BS are totally controlled, but from what I have read, diabetes and thyroid problems...

Nosher, I am getting a message that I do not have permission to read your blog. Is that an error with your link?

Forgetfulness, or what did I do with the dog?

Hope the above isn't a shock, and any choice you make should be an informed one Be well Geoff Phew, that's quite some information to take in - thank you Geoff. I will be talking to my diabetic nurse later, so will discuss this with her, and see if I can come off Crestor, then have some blood...

Forgetfulness, or what did I do with the dog?

Does (or has) anyone else suffered with terrible absent-mindedness or memory lapses as a result of poorly controlled diabetes? I think I read somewhere that this could be a side-effect, but I can't remember where!! I would be interested to know from anyone else who suffers, or anyone who knows...
