New pump: Medtronic 670g, 780g, omnipod Dash or Tandem-Slim

Hi @billyerskine I am an Omnipod user. I have been using it for 18 months. Apart from a short time on the Medtronic pump the Omnipod is the only pump I can comment on. It took some time to get used to pump. At least that is a stage you do not have to go through. The Omnipod for me I have...

    Freestyle Libre 2 inaccurate

Hi Annevl Sorry to hear about the issues you are having with Libre 2. Unfortunately it is not impossible that you have had 2 sensors which are inaccurate. I had 2 fail just yesterday. It is worth remembering that there is about a ten minute lag between blood glucose and the Libre reading. I...

Personal experience of the benefits of using a pump against pens

Hi Soplewis12 I have been using the Omnipod Dash since Feb 2021. I have had to make a lot of changes since going onto the pump although not as many as yourself. My basal rate has doubled. My experience of pens is limited. The changes I had to make were mainly due to me being on a variety of...

    iPhone SE with Librelink

Hi Ann48 No problems. I was lucky that my phone was still under warranty. Like yours mine just stopped working. I have found Libre 2 sensors a bit of a lottery with a large number needing to be replaced. I have a clinic appt tomorrow, there will be considerable gaps in the data they have. I...

    Omnipod dash

Hi Mazzi724 I also experience similar problems. The highs following changing a pod I manage by using a temporary increase to my basal rate. The pump team locally also suggested changing before a meal so that you bolus shortly after changing. These strategies have helped me. The Omnipod was my...

Has any pump user been eligible for 4th booster?

I had my 4th jab about 2 months ago. I was offered this as I am immune compromised ( not due to diabetes or being a pump user ) and had to shield during the lockdown. I live north of the border and the immune compromised group were offered 4th jabs earlier than across the border
