    New to medication

I don't think I was low and tired, just so fed up with feeling sick, the morning I threw them out I was on the verge of vomiting ! I had stuck with them from advice on here that it would wear off, so maybe it will with you ? The slow release may be an option too. Don't be afraid though, they...

    New to medication

LCHF helped me more than the Metformin. I suffered 11 weeks of taking it. felt sick, had a constant headache and alarming bursts of needing the loo immediately ! I got to the end of my tether on week 12 and just threw them in the bin. Told my DN at the next appointment and she just shrugged and...

    What am I doing wrong

Just a thought .. Have you tested your BG when you wake like that? I wake a few times a night with an odd feeling and I get really hot.. don't feel ill though. I have a suspicion my BG drops and my liver jumps in and gives me a boost. I need to be able to afford a freestyle libre to prove that...

    What am I doing wrong

Liver dump or dawn phenomena happens to me all the time. Although it is lowering slowly. It used to be high 7's now it's low 6's. Don't worry too much about that.. I've heard that it's usually the last thing to get normalised . It might help to have a snack or drink before bed? It helps me to...

    Dairy

That's better, I thought the first one was rather high for what you had listed. If you made your own chicken mayo with full fat mayo I probably wouldn't have counted much for that either.. shop bought can have added sugar. Tofu seems a great choice. I will have to buy some and see if I like that

Poor 6 Monthly Results & Very Worried

Very good quality dark chocolate is ok in small portions. Try for anything over 70% content.. the higher the cacoa the lower the carbs. Lots of us have a couple of squares as a treat. Lindt is fab but Lidl is cheaper

    Mixed grill

Great reading :) I can only get away with about 6 chips so I'm envious !

I have bitten the bullet ...

If you have dropped your carbs dramatically you can get what is called "carb flu" which is basically withdrawal symptoms. Drink lots of water and stick at it. What sort of bread did you have? The Lidl protein rolls have the lowest carb count and are very filling.. they are a dark seeded triangle...
