And this is one of the problems of labeling someone a Diabetic. I mean if it's part of who you are how much control could you have... Whereas if it's a behavioural response (albeit an involuntary one) to certain lifestyle choices (not true of everyone) then suddenly there are important choices...

Something that can be observed either directly via our own senses or a signal that can be amplified using something with better limits of detection such as a laboratory instrument - as is the case with a blood test. The Doc sends your blood to a lab for testing, they detect what they detect...

And this is far less important if we can link that evaluation to some sensory based evidence isn't it? Otherwise we might consider it to be a rather meaningless word. So what is the sensory based evidence the doctor is using to evaluate someone as diabetic?

Actually this is a misleading statement. When you take a blood sample and run tests on it there is no detector that identifies a component of that blood sample called 'Diabetes'. There is no diabetes as a thing. Diabetes is a label. So it's interesting that you write off my comment as just...

That's definitely me. I used to train at a level that would be considered 'elite club level' (according to the times I used to run). But because I was burning lots of calories I ate what I wanted. Then when I stopped training because of injury I didn't cut out the crisps, sweets and biscuits and...

As I have stated quite clearly I did not propose a theory I offered an interpretation of data I have read and been given in conversation. And I have absolutely no interest in 'proving' theories to anyone. Our 'conversation' is now finished. You can't. Since 'Diabetic' is a description of the...

I cured my diabetes so anybody can

There are people who have exhibited diabetic responses for years, who then go on to follow specific diets, such as the Newcastle Diet, lose lots of weight and lose their diabetic response. I have met people who had much worse blood readings than me who followed the newcastle diet, or a close...

I slipped on ice and fractured my wrist in two places. I was told by a doctor and three people who had each sustained a single fracture to a wrist, that I would never recover full function. Of course I didn't believe them and with diligent application of appropriate exercises (that I wasn't told...

I do, I have not suggested there is a reversal option for all. I have even spelled that out. What I am rejecting is that a reversal option does not exist because it doesn't work for all. Even if only 1% of T2 diabetics can achieve reversal that's worth knowing about.

Except me? I have to come with proof and references to support my opinions otherwise they add nothing to the thread? My observations and subjective interpretations and evaluations of those observations must be backed by scientific study. Whereas you - you're allowed to just have an opinion. The...

But do you have references and scientific studies to PROVE it isn't broken - if not this is just your unsubstantiated opinion. So the fact remains that anyone who has broken their leg should continue to walk with a crutch. And preferably a limp as well just to be on the safe side. But on a...

So basically you're benchmarking other people's choices against your own personal values which are entirely subjective. For example, personally, I find the idea of choosing to stay a T2 Diabetic in order to avoid the "misery of a VLC diet" (misery is a personal frame of reference) an utterly...

But that shouldn't stop other people being inspired. And neither is personal disappointment a license for anyone (not you specifically) to derail other people's inspiration.

I wasn't aware of any active healthcare professionals advising reversal - quite the opposite. But if they are then that's great news as far as I'm concerned. I was thinking more about reports from studies already quoted on this forum, from people I have met offline who have reversed their...

I've no idea what the ratio is, but it seems to me that there are more people embracing the possibility of reversing their diabetes rather than just managing it. So time, as it inevitably does, will tell.

When you stopped exhibiting a diabetic response. Which is different from being a well controlled diabetic. It means you can no longer reproduce a diabetic response. And that doesn't mean after 6 months of concerted effort gaining weight and trashing your good work.

I cured my diabetes so anybody can

Well you've really got this back to front haven't you :) If someone has no diabetic response whatsoever how do they prove they are diabetic? And I still fail to see what someone actually gains by believing they are diabetic when they have no diabetic response. I understand that some people...

And the non diabetic can be at just as much risk as the person who has reversed their diabetic function. Nothing you are saying changes the point that the reversed diabetic can be indistinguishable from someone who has never been diabetic. And yet you want to classify them as different. Or would...

Again this is irrelevant to the main point. If someone no longer exhibits diabetic responses they are indistinguishable from non diabetics irrespective of their genetic makeup.
