I need to ask the surgery what my HDL and LDL levels are and check what the previous results were, so will come back to you if that's OK. I'm not in the middle of losing weight, I've been stable at 50.5Kg for about 18 months.

That's interesting - thank you for the info. and I think that you are right about the stress etc ( in my case, not related to giving blood). Have just received my results of blood test taken before I gave blood - HBA1C 41 (normal for me) Trigs. 1.4 and Cholesterol 8.1 (high, I know but then it...

Does anyone have thoughts on this, please: Two hours after giving blood recently I tested my blood sugar level and found them to be high (for me) at 7.8 - I am normally in the mid fives. I am not diabetic but 2 years ago was told I was pre-diabetic, changed my way of eating to low-carb, high...

    HBA1C

Hello everyone. I was diagnosed as pre-diabetic a year ago. Having been eating low carb/high (healthy) fat for the past year, today's HBA1C was 41. Is that good enough to relax my way of eating or should I carry on the way I have been eating?

High Cholesterol with normal blood sugar level

Thanks! I'm so pleased! I think I was lucky enough to find out early that I had pre-diabetes so set out to do something about it pdq. . . I lived in the Tarn, about an hour north of Toulouse. Loved it, but for various reasons have come back - it was a great experience!

High Cholesterol with normal blood sugar level

I've recently moved back to UK after living in France for 11 years and was assigned to a young, S. African GP who is fully clued up on LCHF and agrees with everything I'm doing!! I think if I show her these readings next time I see her, she'll take them onboard. Many thanks for your help and...
