    Weekly weigh in - Fridays

Same, was “distracted” but haven’t eaten, I just know I weigh 4 stone heavier in the afternoon and after a shower. :D Edit: don’t think I’ve lost this week if yesterday’s weight (I weigh every day for trends) is anything to go by but I’ll measure again tomorrow morning, same time, same place.

    ADHD, anyone?

I've often wondered if medication would do anything for me too but I've never had any follow up in all these years. There was a period in my former life where let's just say I was ahem experimenting with expanding my consciousness in various ways and there was something similar that did enhance...

You might be on to something here!

    ADHD, anyone?

I was going to say some things, I'm a big know it all with no tact who doesn't know when to shut up sometimes, but you know what, I'll just listen here. What an amazingly difficult thing to have to process for anyone, hugs to you.

Does someone want to explain it to a ten year old?

Shhhhh, don't undo it :0) Nothing to forgive, I read between the lines and there's a reason I didn't ask you for information on if the the quality of objects produced in the arts & crafts movements could stand up to or happily next to the traditional objects they sought to emulate the beauty...

    ADHD, anyone?

Thanks @Melgar . I had to go back to the start of this thread and I had totally missed @Lainey c 's posts, and have now taken them in, they are very sobering yet helpful and I agree, it's unimaginable and no amount of my random internet person condolences will ever make up for that, yet I am...

    ADHD, anyone?

I read something recently with someone who struggled to get a diagnoses as an adult, not surprisingly a woman in her late 30s where it wasn't picked up on, she was just a "character." which made me think more about it. Recently had a family friend fight tooth and claw and finds out she has...

What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

Hopefully just need some lubricants or something, pharmacists are pretty handy, we get sent to the opticians for any thing eye related, gp won’t see you for eyes here. Optician I saw for a bout of blepharitis gave me a tip about boiling some water and using some salt and a small drop of Johnson...

    ADHD, anyone?

Hell is other people. Or the perception of others influences our perception of ourselves, for better or for worse. I’m going to give your response the time it deserves rather than skip reading as I just have done, I’ll come back later and thank you in the meantime. Selfishly, the perception...

Does someone want to explain it to a ten year old?

Well this is amazing, thank you, it totally makes sense with the stereotype, and symbolism. thanks… and well I could have looked it up in a book or online but seeing as you said “I’m your girl” re: art movement. How could I pass up a chance to ask someone, a real person who might know who we...

    ADHD, anyone?

Hohoho, thank you both. She is definitely something <3 That's the sobering thing, she has to make her own mistakes as difficult as it is to watch sometimes, and that I'm not in control of anyone but myself, I can guide, for sure and there are limits, and I don't always get it right, whoever...

What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

Ooh, I have a Raclette grill sort of like this but with a stone on top you can change to the grill Often use it with different cheeses and veg and meats Edit, this one

Does someone want to explain it to a ten year old?

What was all the red hair about when red hair is pretty uncommon, has to be symbolism right? Think you are covered for explanations about diabetes on here so I wont add anything even if I could. Wish I could explain it in art terms, which might make it easier to digest but its beyond me too

    ADHD, anyone?

Obviosuly as @Antje77 says many ways of going about things, and also nothing is ever absolutely so. Sometimes its more difficult than the simplification I have in my head. Posting again because I just posited the zebra/horse thing with my daughter (who would usually be in bed now but she can...

Type 2s: What have you eaten today?

Ha yes, I have some of that if it is the Moser Roth one? oops, thought it was one oblong in each packet, not two squares! Don't see higher percentage than that in ALDI but I can tolerate a little bit of leeway as not strict low carb, though less added sugars the better, I like to still be a...

    ADHD, anyone?

I do get it, and can only speak for myself. And I know my own biases, and have to constantly check them, I'm wrong often. I appreciate her experience and will think on it when away from the furious tapping of keys and see if I can look at it from another angle. I grew up seeing a lot of...

Type 2s: What have you eaten today?

Yes, I was surprised after not eating anything sweet for a long time (the first time I attempted low carb, back in Jan 2023) that I'd came on here and saw people say dark chocolate was on the menu if you could manage it. Tried it and prefer it now. If I'm out and about I may grab some, just the...

Type 2s: What have you eaten today?

Yes, you are correct, and it's now the extended release one for a good few months now. Thank you for the information. I found it didn't really respond to what I was eating as I did a few experiments early on but I think I had a misconception on how it worked. I didn't want to double up just in...

Type 2s: What have you eaten today?

It was! I am built like a large rugby prop that hasn't been training for a while! and eating one bigger meal like that a day the weight is just falling off and my blood sugar has been (at least my last test was 2 weeks ago, in the process of ordering new set of strips) in the 4's to 5's all day...

    ADHD, anyone?

Thank you @Antje77 for that reply, as I say I will do get her tested if not for her getting years down the line and having problems and no one recognising when she was a child as I'm sure that makes it far more difficult if you seek a diagnosis yourself later on. If that is something that she...
