I was on metformin but it gave me terrible stomach problems and I came off after just over a year. My DN put me on a basal insulin but I was then referred to the hospital who stopped my insulin and put me on Victoza. I am also a bit concerned about the links with cancer which I keep reading about.

Thanks for the reply I still intend to eat a greatly reduced carb diet, around 100g/day but just can't keep as low as I need to keep my BG as low as I would like. I wouldn't eat a baked potato either it was just to show the hypo side of it.
