So if the facts don't fit her theory, then you must be lying about what you eat.... What possible reason could you have to lie about what you eat in this context?

To be fair to the article, another study mentioned in the article showed the opposite..... (I personally would not take statins - but not for this reason)

Why won't the NHS tell you the secret to treating diabetes?

The original work by Professor Taylor was all carried out on people who were significantly overweight (average weight over 100kg averageBMI over 38) The results from this group have then been extrapolated for all people with type 2 diabetes. An assumption has been made that the issues are the...

I agree with @zand Reporting attendance is a requirement Having an award system is not a legal requirement. If a school chooses to have one, the criteria are the decision of the school

    what should i do?

It depends what you want to achieve. If you want compensation then suing is a possible route - I have no idea your chances of success. If you want the NHS or the GP Practice to deal with poor care, then you can submit a formal complaint. This may stop others going through what you did...

    Weight gain advice

If you reduce carbs, you must increase fat and or protein. When I started Low Carb I lost a lot of weight that I didn't want to lose. I increased nuts (walnut, pecan, brazil, hazel are all pretty low carb and fairly high calorie) Cheese is good, full fat greek yogurt is good Avocado is good -...

    Hovis Low Carb

It may also be worth looking at the carbs per 100g. The size of slices can vary between different manafacturers

    A day of BG readings

I am not sure why you avoid nuts. They are a good source of protein for vegans, and if you choose the right ones (e.g. walnut, Brazil, pecan, hazelnuts) they are pretty low in Carbohydrate. They are full of good fats and help to stop you feeling hungry.

    Type 2 Testing on Fingers

As well as the points mentioned above, another thing (that you may already be doing!) is to prick at the side of the fingertip, near the nail rather than in the centre of the tip (where there are more nerve endings)

    Type 2 Nuts

Brazil nuts and Walnuts are both around 3g Carbohydrate/100g so are low carbohydrate. I eat a lot of them!

    Low carb bread

Asda sometimes sell a bread called "Protein Bread" - more like a rye bread in texture and flavour than a traditional bread. Only 7.8g carbohydrate per 100g. However it is often out of stock (or was when I last looked) HiLo is available from Sainsburys

    COVID 2019 Comorbidity with Diabetes

What are you doing to keep covid out of your home

Most antibacterial sprays and wipes do kill viruses as well as bacteria From Dettol website (as an example) "Specific Dettol products have demonstrated effectiveness (>99.9% inactivation) against coronavirus strains from the same family as the 2019 Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) in third party...

    Tesco's and Carbs

[email protected] I suggest an email of complaint, explaining why this information is so important to diabetics. I have said that I will have to switch to Sainsbury as they still provide this information. Edit I am not sure they are looking at emails at the moment
