    Panicked about my big toe

Thank you for your insight. I hope it's not troubling you too much! I don't notice it while walking or doing everyday things but once I take my socks off and sit at my desk, I'm (as of now at least) constantly aware of it, just mentally occupied with it I guess.

    Panicked about my big toe

Thank you, that's genuinely very comforting to hear. Do you still feel the numbness at that spot and it simply hasn't worsened or did it tone down?

    Panicked about my big toe

Hi, I recently got a new job which requires me to kneel down a lot and reach elevated shelves. I used to get down and balance myself in a way that ended up hurting me for the next 2 days whenever I'd walk. Now I simply lay my foot sideways and flat on the ground as to not put force or my weight...

    Carb and insulin balance

Thank you for your responses! I'm aware of it varying per person and simply wanted some insight on what it's like for others :) I also learned a few more things thanks to your replies so thank you for that! @In Response I am currently on fixed doses. I've received a higher dosage on the 17th...

    Carb and insulin balance

Hi! I'm newly diagnosed and very interested! - How many grams of carbs do you aim for per meal and how many grams per day at most? - What made you decide on that specific maximum carb intake? (e.g. weight-related, other health issues, not wanting to inject as often etc)

Type 3c - how many are we?

Can 3c be caused by covid? My body stopped making insulin 2 days after I got hit by covid. I'm diagnosed as type 1 as per 7 days ago but am wondering if I fall under 3c instead.

Type 1 Newly diagnosed, few questions

Thank you for your responses! I'll see what works best for me in the long run when it comes to injection frequency. I'll change arms when swapping out my Libre and will slowly look at how my body reacts to different smaller snacks. I'm very happy to hear about how well your years have been and...

Do you remember what triggered your t1?

No history of diabetes in my family, always been healthy, no other medications/illnesses. Got Covid, body stopped creating insulin 2 days later. Couldn't stop drinking nor peeing. I no longer have to wonder why.

    Welcoming myself

Thanks a lot! I'm very happy to hear that you're going strong for so long. I'll be looking forward to doing the same. I haven't been feeling ill whatsoever, even while hitting 32mmol/L (I now know I should've called contacted someone). I've definitely been noticing the changes in my sight but...

Type 1 Newly diagnosed, few questions

Hi there, I have a few questions! - How much insulin is too much? Are you able to eat "whatever" you want as long as you take enough insulin to balance it out? If not, why not? How does that work? Is it different from the "Don't eat too much KFC" argument? - As someone who's admittedly very...

    Welcoming myself

Hi there, I'm a newly diagnosed type 1 diabetic (hit the 1 week mark today, Friday) and am looking forward to talking to the many others who go through their days in similar ways. I was hit with a very nasty covid punch but recovered after 2 weeks. 2 to 3 days later, I started peeing and...
